We found this to be an excellent hotel, friendly staff, comfortable rooms and excellent locality, right in the middle of everything. Whilst it was an extremely busy hotel, attention to detail was good. Would stay there again due to locality

I have stayed at this Intercontinental four times in two years and have found it very good. Yes the building is a bit older but I like the rooms, the outstanding beds, the friendly staff and the location. The breakfast selection was good and the restaurant at the top of the hotel has beautiful views and a lovely terrace for... More

A 5-star hotel located near the luxurious shopping street and Old Town. I stayed here for 2 nights for my honeymoon. The hotel gave me a bottle of campaign and chocolates for free. The room was a bit small (standard double room) but was clean and cozy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It had all the necessary... More

I thought that this hotel was okay..in a good way. The location is perfect. We had a river view, which is great…though we were not in the room much.. The a/c worked which is a huge plus in these old hotels. The service was very good. The night manager was wonderful. I had issues with the internet and he was... More

Stayed here 6 nights. The room was lovely and overlooked the river. Being a rewards member we were given complimentary breakfast so we were very happy with that. Breakfast was great and lots of choice so nothing to complain about in that area. I love the position of the hotel as it is so convenient for all the major attractions.... More

This is a beautiful hotel, just minutes away from the tourist spots. Along the way, branded shops lined interpersed with lovely local quaint shops. Beautiful surrounding. Spacious, clean rooms. It must have seen its grand days. A little facelifting will put it back into its old glory.

Good Hotel with clean rooms. A bit dark and an old time eastern feeling in the hallways. Breakfast was excellent and the friendly staff made it an great experience. Do expect to meet and hear a lot of american guests though

Great location in the inner city: somewhat old fashioned rooms but correct service. Great view on the city from the restaurant on the top of the hotel. To be recommended for meetings or for a short city trip

Perfect location to be able to walk to such attractions as the Old Town Square (Astronomical Clock), Charles Bridge, The Church of Our Lady, and Wenceslas Square. There are a number of excellent restaurants close to the Hotel. Our room was spacious, clean, well appointed, and quiet. They serve a sumptuous breakfast buffet, including many ethnic choices. Concierge service was... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
