The team of the Ambassador Zlata Husa Hotel made us very welcome during a recent convention in Prague. Excellent city centre location with the old town square in walking distance. Friendly and professional staff and great coffee in the lobby café. The hotel reminded me of the glory days of grand European style and sophistication ...

We stayed here for three nights and thought everything was great. Staff were friendly and helpful, great array of food for breakfast every morning and so central- we went everywhere by foot. We stayed on second floor with a view out to Wenceslas Square. We were that tired at night we went straight to sleep. Noise was never an issue.... More

all told I enjoyed our stay...loved the old elevator (there is a modern one as well) food was ok and the location is great, and next to everything...I was bummed out by the TV, there is nothing to watch for English speakers and no pay per view...

The hotel is nice but very old. The TV is still from the 80's and the rooms furniture are between classic and just plain old. The reception on the day we arrived was not very friendly and after a long flight you just want to get to your room and have a shower which is not something that was possible... More

Very well located to visit Prague on foot. Rooms, breakfast, service, personnel are ok, but not special. If you are looking for tranquillity, this is not the right place (very noisy at night owing to a discotheque nearby).

The hotel was neat and clean and spoke of an old-Europe style of elegance right on Wenceslas Square. The lobby, however, could get quite smokey from cigarette smoking. My room was hard to find at first because renovations to this old hotel rendered floors to be split in some places. With a sense of humor (track 9 3/4s?) one could... More

Dear Guest, Thanks for the perfect 4 score on Tripadvisor. I informed my colleagues about your warm comments, as I’m sure that they will appreciate this motivating feedback! The smoking area is only in Lobby bar at the hotel, but we are thinking to have non smoking area also here. If you wish to return to Ambassador Zlata Husa Hotel,... More

Being located in the centre of Wenclaslas Square, this is probably only a downside if you have a front facing room...its not the quietest street. However, this hotel is a perfect example of the charm of old Prague. It's two old hotels together and has all the quirks there of...take the lift in Ambassador to floor two to get to... More

It was a well-situated hotel at the heart of the old town. The service was great, the front desk were really supportive especially with the various requests we had. Unfortunately, the lift was not as efficient as someone expects a five-star hotel. On the whole it was a pleasant stay.

The whole hotel has much character, you feel like you are in an 50s horror movie. Its very central, and its perfect if you want to explore the city by foot. The hotel is right on the Wenceslas Square therefore, you have to pay extra for parking ( about 30€ / day).

I was a little worried reading the reviews. But in fact it is a very central located hotel with nice service. Very tasty wide breakfast, good clean rooms, and everything you need for your stay. I could also agree with people saying about cigarets smell in halls & funny lify that works fine (there is also a new one nearby)... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
