I almost skipped Prague on my travels, but am so glad I didn't—if only because I got to stay at this hostel. Yes, they are in the center of everything (super convenient when you're stumbling home from a bar or a club at 3am), and they have their own ATM and their own ticket machine for public transport, plus free... We're a family of 5 traveling the world for 11 months. Our stay at Charles Bridge Economic Hostel was our best hostel stay of our trip thus far (9 months in). First and foremost, you cannot beat the price for the hostel. We're traveling on a pretty tight budget and couldn't believe the screaming deal we got ... just over... More

We were in Prague just for one day but we enjoyed our stay there pretty much. The hostel is situated at one side of the charles bridge so we stayed directly in the heart of Prague. We received a very warm welcome and the time between arrival (1h) and check in we could have free coffee (which is really really... More

It was recommended by a friend and we were not disappointed. The hostel is right next to the famous Charles Bridge and so you will find everything you need by foot. The stuff is really friendly and love to tell you about things you can do or where you get the best beer ;-) Also they offer free water, coffee... More

We have recently stayed in this hostel for two nights. It is right next to Charles Bridge and within walking distance to the old town square. Best possible place for accommdation on any vacation. The hosts are all friendly and welcoming. The hostel also acts as an information centre for tourists, hence, very helpful in suggesting places to visit. If... More

My experience of staying at this hotel was overall very good, and I would recommend to others/ stay again. The good: - Very central location- charles bridge is literally on your doorstep, as are places to eat and a supermarket - free wifi at good speeds and signal - free tea, coffee (good coffee), hot choc and bottled water -... This hostel is really everything you need in Prague. The best thing about it is the location. It's right on the Charles bridge and everything important is at a walking distance from there. The hosts are so kind and friendly, they are very helpful and they provide free coffee and water for everyone in the hostel. We stayed in a... More

The first thing to point out is clearly the great location of this hostel: a perfect point to set off from in any direction. I stayed there for 4 nights (5 days) and didn't use public transport at all, cause i was basically close to all the sights. The people at the reception desk are great and really helpful. Not... We had a great 1 night stay in this great hostel. After running around alone for a while in Prague, arriving in this place felt like coming home. The hosts gave us a warm welcome, a lot of recommendations (and discounts) for activities and sights in Prague and a free coffee on top. They could even point us to excellent... More

If it wasn't for staying in this hostel I do not think we would have experienced as much of Prague as we did in our short stay. Firstly they organised a legit reasonable taxi pick-up at the airport. The hostel provides us with free wifi, towels, bottled water, properly brewed coffee and organized activities. NO matter how busy the quaint... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
