We stayed here for a week and really enjoyed it. A couple of the light fittings were not working but it just gave the room. Very reasonable price for a beautiful room with a nice balcony overlooking the road, no noise complaints at all because there are two sets of windows to reduce the sound of traffic, this was a... We stayed here for three nights in July 2014, we had a good experience and would definitely recommend this hotel if you're on a budget. The hotel is on the outskirts of town but has a tram stop outside and you can easily get to town via the number 24 tram which leaves regularly. Make sure you buy a ticket... More

This hotel was the best place I could find in prague for my holiday. Not only was cheap but also very nice and clean. It is very close to the city center (10 minutes of tram), the area around the hotel is well stocked, full of restaurants, mini markets and shops. The greatest thing about this hotel is the staff.... Perfect base for a gentlemans weekend, clean rooms and comfy beds. On the downside the breakfast was really bad and was cleared away 30 mins early and there was no aircon which was an issue at 36 degrees during the day and 30 at night Staff were friendly and helpful

Room was simple and adequate but I was treated to a balcony with a lovely view of the red rooftops. The view came with drawback--perhaps being on a high floor made my room out of reach for internet access. I ended up being able to get WiFi in the lobby. No big deal. Staff was quite friendly and helpful. Easy... More

Hotel is perfectly situated not far from the Old town center and the tram station is in front of the hotel as well as connection to other public transport. The parking for car is for free.We stayed for 4 nights in room with street view and noise was almost unbearable - we should ask for some back room. The room... More

Good location, beautiful historical buildings surrounding. Nearby some trams & bus stations- good for transfers, bad for sleeping. Comfortable modern rooms, good breakfast, professional reception managers. Personal thank you for Michal Vrba, general manager.

Stayed there for 10 days from May 13 until May 23. Hotel is really old, but very clean and pretty. Basic breakfast, good internet, excellent location - 10 minutes by tram from the centre. stuff is very friendly and speaks english well. We had a room on the 4th floor, and it was very warm and cosy during the cold... More

You get what you paid for - nothing less, nothing more. The room was very basic but clean. It was situated from the street site so quite noisy at some point! Good connection to Old Town and Prague Castle. Loads of local shops, bars and restaurants in the area! Good security - the main gate is closed at all time,... More

We have just returned after one-week staying in Otakar hotel. We've mostly liked our staying in this hotel and here is a short summary: The hotel is in fact very basic, though it may look pretentiously in photos. Don't look at professional photos of pompous interiers! Look at photos of the real hotel's visitors. The rooms are quite modest even... More
