My husband and I very much enjoyed our six-night stay at Hotel & Spa Carolline in early October. Helena, the proprietor, was pleasant and accommodating. She waited up all night for our scheduled arrival, but because of a missed connecting flight we didn't come until the next morning. She hadn't been told about our delay, and she still was friendly... When we arrived at this hotel, we were greeted by Helena, she was so wonderful, very caring and very helpful. The location was is an old town Prague, which was perfect, just meters away from Charles bridge, restaurants and shops etc. Hotel Carolline also offer a range of spa treatments and massages, which was very convenient during our stayed! My wife, grown son and I stayed for three nights at the Spa Caroline which has handful of apartments. Ours consisted of a large living room/kitchen with a bed and a small bedroom and bath - perfect for the three of us. It is in a wonderful location, only a few steps from the Charles Bridge but quiet. The staff... More

Despite the fact, that I´m living in Prague, I choose this very homely hotel for short stay of my Czech friends. They are not able to put comment in English, so they asked me to do it on behalf. They arrived late at night on a motorbike. Helena, hotel owner, personally took care about them and their bike. They got... More

This hotel/spa offers location, location, location!!! I was referred to this establishment by a dear friend who I will trust with my life. What a pleasant surprise it was to be met at the entrance by the owner, Helene. A bubbly and warm personality, well groomed and with a smile that could reach around the world. The entrance foyer is... More

To escape the extreme summer heat we decided to book ourselves a luxury hotel for 3 nights with airco and found a nice deal on booking.com. Arriving after a long hot day cycling the first thing we had to do was pay in Czech krona, we even didn’t see the room yet. According to booking.com it was 415 euro’s, Helena... More

Rooms are beautiful, very modern and stylish, they will give you the feeling of luxury. Charles Bridge is just round the corner, everything is close, you are simply in the middle of the happening. You cannot beat this location! And the breakfast in the nearby café neither. We have had an amazing stay here, I am very happy we chose... More

I didn't stay at the hotel, but I saw Martin at the spa (Martin Zifcak Hairdressing) for both a hair appointment and a facial. Both experiences were excellent and well priced. The coffee was also very good!

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
