Having read some negative reactions here on trip advisor, I have to say that we had a good experience. Considering that we payed 82€ per night per room, we can say that it was real good value for money. Clean room, good and extensive breakfast, nice and helpful staff.

Stayed here for 3 nights and found it to be good value for the price. We booked a suite for the price of an average room and although furniture was a bit old fashioned, the suite was spotless and beds comfy. The bedroom looked out into the front of the hotel and was a little noisy around 6 in the... More

Quiet and spacious hotel, walking distance from Wenceslas square so quite a good location. Nice rooms with comfy beds but the bathroom didn't smell great (when we mentioned this at reception they changed our room no problem). Good breakfast and the staff were friendly enough. Wifi seemed a little slow but it was free at least!

We just returned from a 4 night city trip to Prague and stayed in 1.Republic Hotel. Upon our arrival in the afternoon, we were warmly welcomed and were immediately offered a drink while the usual hotel administration was carried out. On top of that EVA gave us the address of a good typical Czech restaurant to have dinner that night,... More

Stayed here for 3 nights in February 2015. We stayed in a suite which was enormous - bedroom, bathroom, living room and hallway, and it only cost £20 more than a standard room! Definitely worth paying the little bit extra. Great location on a quiet side street, around a 5 minute walk to Muzeum metro station and Stepanska tram stop.... More

Decorated in Art Deco style, located in quiet side street, it makes a perfect base for exploring Prague. Excellent staff and service, good continental and full English breakfast and safe underground parking makes this hotel one of the best hotels we stayed at. Highly recommend this place!

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
