Located in the centre of the new town of Prague, Mosaic House was the best choice for cheap and valuable accommodation. It is brand new and provides all the necessary facilities for a pleasant stay. Rooms are comfortable (even for 5 people per room), clean and contemporary. Breakfast is also included and provided everything you need to start your day.... More

Out of the dozens of hostels I've stayed in, Mosaic House is probably #1. The restaurant & bar downstairs is a great way to meet people and the events are always fun. We arrived late and were greeted by Honza and Milica, who were super nice and helpful, giving us recommendations of awesome places to go in Prague. Will definitely... More

Booked a double room but was upgraded free of charge to a deluxe double. It was amazing! Rain shower, balcony, television....not what you would expect from a hostel. Does feel a little like a hotel but with the benefit of a young person vibe and activities arranged.

We travelled over Christmas period. This funky and lively hostel is located close to the Wenceslas Square and center. There was 'Battle of the Bands' on the night of our arrival. The place was buzzing with travellers and locals alike. There seemed to be a music event every night. Check in was swift and staff at the reception friendly. We we... More

Stayed here in July 2014 and it was very cheap, very close to the centre and the river. Staff were friendly and the rooms were great. We booked a whole room out so no hassle with any bad roommates. We did the Hostel pub crawl too which was a good way of meeting people also staying at the hostel. I... More

It's huge. There's so much room that you can get lost, and that's in a good way. The lounge and the bar are awesome. The service is super. No bad words about that place. I hope to stay there again one day ;)

Easy check in and check out. I was satisfied in getting a quick response to an e-mail I sent. The only "problem" that happend was that the free walking tour guide from the hostel did not show up. But that wasn't much of a problem since there were still other free walking tours in the city.

The location was good, about 10 min walk to the old town. The hotel room was very nice, big comfy bed, spacious, windows opened, a/c, fridge, and the bathroom was very nice. The staff was helpful and gave us a map (a really helpful one) and told us how to get to the airport (it takes about an hour with the... I've stayed at many hostels previously and I think that one of the most important parts to making your stay comfortable is the staff. The thin faced women with brown wavy hair and a really lame tattoo on her wrist was excruciatingly rude and passive aggressive throughout our stay. We arrived earlier than 2pm and wanted to leave our bags... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
