we chose mosaic for the headquarters of our polish/german/dutch gathering. the place is in a quieter part of the city, but still in the centre, in an easy walking distance to the main squares. we also tested various types of rooms: from the dorm [in the dungeons with dragons] to hotel rooms [including the one with a terrace] - all... Been to Prague multiple times and have stayed here 3 separate times. Probably the nicest hostel I have ever stayed in. I've been in all types of their rooms and they are always clean and modern. Nice common room. Better than average Wi-fi. The location is average but Prague is a walkable city anyways. Good variety for breakfast.

You know when your in the bottom bunk and you have to duck your head to sit down, well not here I had an extra head of room which was awesome! I stayed in this Hostel in the last year and I liked so much, everything! After this I recommended the same hostel to more friends and all my friends enjoyed like me. In the last week (days: 15/04 and 16/04) 3 friends (2 from Brazil and 1 from Austria) visited Prague and they stayed in Mosaic House and I heard... More

Just come back from a stag do in Prague and Mosaic House was perfect for the whole group of 12 people. Rooms were basic but comfortable with en-suite bathrooms. The bar is great with great selection of drinks, try the baseball helmet drink it is so funny. Staff are great and we all agreed it was a perfect location for... More

I would fully recommend staying at Mosaic House in Prague. Not only is it in a good location and affordable, but it is very clean and the beds are comfortable. There is also a grocery store on the street perpendicular that sells delicious and cheap pastries and rolls.

Mosaic house was perfect for my stag do. The rooms were simple - 3 bunk beds, a row of lockable cupboards (bring your own little padlock), on suite bathroom, and that's about it, but that's all we needed. The downstairs bar/relaxation area was also spot-on. The beers were cheap, the staff were friendly and spoke good English, and the food... More

Location - 10 minutes walk to main shopping area but this is perfect for me as I didn' want to be in the middle! Atmosphere - I would recommend asking to be placed in the main building, not the 'mingle hostel' section of the hostel. This is across the road and does have a small kitchen area for communal activities,... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
