The location is good. From the hotel you can walk allover the city beside the Vltava river to see all bridges and to the old town and square. I stayed for two nights Rarely I used the Metro or tram. But the hotel itself was bad.. I do not recommend this hotel.

Staying here right now. The vibe is great and the rooms are big and clean, but the beds, a different story. Really not great mattresses which makes it tough to sleep on. The location is kind of cool and everything else is great. Decorated tastefully too, with a kitchenette.

Nice boutique-style hotel with in-room kitchenette and free breakfast. The room was large and cleanly decorated. The hotel overall had a nice feel and was in a good location near the metro and tram. The only issue was the shower in the bathroom which would overflow with water if the faucet was turned on full-blast (this was easily fixed by... More

I stayed here 4 nights last week with my girlfriend. I paid $73/night (including city tax), which I found on the hotrate deal on hotwire. Pros: - Friendly staff willing to help you get around the beautiful city of Prague -Convenient location near metro station and trams to see the city (you can buy day passes at the hotel/ or... More

We had a booking for one night and had already paid for it via credit card. When we arrived there, they told us that they are overbooked and had arranged a different hotel for us which was approx. 2km further away from the center than the Purpur hotel we booked which was not acceptable for us. Only after 30 minutes... More

I spend 3 nights in this hotel. The room was very nice, it was clean and I felt comfortable. The underground station wasn't really far away from the hotel (Narodni Trida) just a few walking minutes from the hotel. The breakfast was ok (but could offer more choice) - fast Wifi connection in all rooms!

I stayed here in March 2015 and will be going back very soon! The breakfast was eggs, bread, pastries, cold cuts of meat and the usual continental stuff. It was fresh and filling and surprisingly sufficient for the price of the room! Location was about 5-7mins walk to Old Town Square and really central to most attractions especially Vodickova where... stayed here at the end of Feb/start of March. The hotel is reasonably priced, clean and well serviced, always staff available on reception. Very quiet, don't remember seeing/hearing any other guests for two days! The location is perfect for central Prague, with Wenceslas Sq, 5 min walk away, old town sq, roughly 15 mins. I stayed with friends and would... More

Very good posititon not far from the Venceslas square if you need to stay in the city centre. Room was good enough, spacy with balcony and a kitchinette equiped with everything you need, even if you would like to cook. Bathroom is nice and uncommonly made. You can see from the shower what is going on in the room -... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
