Three of us girls stayed in Hotel Barcelo for 2 nights as a city break. We found the hotel absolutely beautiful! Extremely clean, rooms comfortable, 2 minutes walk from the main square with the astronomical clock. Staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. We stayed bed and breakfast and plenty to choose from for breakfast! Would definitely go back and thoroughly... More

We loved this hotel!! From the moment we arrived until we checked out, we could not find anything to complain about. We are in our late 60s and are well travelled, this hotel has set the bar very high.

Great reception and care offered by staff, especially Zusanna, at check-in and throughout stay. Excellent breakfast. Location good for most sites. Superb pool centre. Former bank and then post office makes it unusual, in a positive way.

Location, location, location. Perfect for our 3 day stay, as it was walking distance from all the main attractions. Very welcoming and warm reception on arrival. Well spoken, friendly and helpful staff. We had a very beautiful, spacious and comfortable room as we had our two kids with us. We also enjoyed the breakfast, great selection and service. All in... The highlight of this hotel has to be the location...you can't beat it! The team are friendly and the room we booked was fantastic, it was in the attic and was huge...plenty of space for our 4 night stay and lovely views across the Old Town area. Old Town Square is just around the corner and when we visited we... More

Absolutely fantastic hotel and 5 stars to the Barcelo Old Town. Staff very friendly and spoke excellent English. Rooms first class with a fab pillow menu. Location could not be better as bang in the middle of the old town so perfect. Will definitely stay at this hotel again if we visit Prague.

Nice rooms with a very helpful staff. cannot comment on restaurant as we did not eat there. we did not see anyone else either which is why we stayed away. would suggest including breakfast to get people in the door. 5-10 minute walk to the square. We would book again.

Hotel is very well located. Close to the best night life and walking distance to the Prague castle. Breakfast was good, but it was missing a chef doing omelettes! One morning I cooked my own omelette and they called my attention! lol Room is very spacious and my air conditioner was really cold!!

Unique hotel in the center of Old Town. Spacious duplex suite in the attic of a very old home that was converted into this Barcelo hotel. Modern, clean, minimalist decoration. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Terrible blow dryer and no toiletries.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2015

We had 4 adults in an apartment styled room. We paid about 221 Euro. It was pricey, HOWEVER, for the location and comfort - it was priceless. It was extremely close to everything but about a 2 minute walk. So it was not loud at night. Our master bed was comfortable but the second bed was not. It also had... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
