Absolutely fantastic hotel and 5 stars to the Barcelo Old Town. Staff very friendly and spoke excellent English. Rooms first class with a fab pillow menu. Location could not be better as bang in the middle of the old town so perfect. Will definitely stay at this hotel again if we visit Prague.

Nice rooms with a very helpful staff. cannot comment on restaurant as we did not eat there. we did not see anyone else either which is why we stayed away. would suggest including breakfast to get people in the door. 5-10 minute walk to the square. We would book again.

Hotel is very well located. Close to the best night life and walking distance to the Prague castle. Breakfast was good, but it was missing a chef doing omelettes! One morning I cooked my own omelette and they called my attention! lol Room is very spacious and my air conditioner was really cold!!

Unique hotel in the center of Old Town. Spacious duplex suite in the attic of a very old home that was converted into this Barcelo hotel. Modern, clean, minimalist decoration. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Terrible blow dryer and no toiletries.

We had 4 adults in an apartment styled room. We paid about 221 Euro. It was pricey, HOWEVER, for the location and comfort - it was priceless. It was extremely close to everything but about a 2 minute walk. So it was not loud at night. Our master bed was comfortable but the second bed was not. It also had... More

Hotel was very nice. We were upgraded to a junior suite very roomy except the air conditioning struggled with the warm weather. Not very effective and quite noisy. Fantastic location in this fantastic city. Another tick in the box as a very vibrant place great food and atmosphere

Nicely located close to almost all attractions. Friendly and very helpful staff dedicated to serve the customers however some services needs to be improved. Nonetheless it's worth the money spent and worth a try.

Me and 2 of my friends booked a room for 3 adults. The room was incredible! It was spacious, clean and modern. The location is perfect and we didn't need to use public transport to get around the city. Wi fi worked really well too. The staff on the front desk were very helpful! I would recommend his hotel to... More

I ended up in this hotel by accident. I was originally booked to stay at the Maximilian but they had a problem with a leaky roof and so I ended up at the Barcelo instead. It had a lot of good things to it, a big one being location. If you are new to Prague two of the big sights... More

Nicely located near Republic square (Namesti Republiky), steps from and excellent, safe and cheap metro system, and 2 minutes from historic Old Town Square, this hotel really has it all: multi-lingual, courteous staff, very elegant, modern amenities in large, extremely clean and comfortable rooms, perfect isolation from street's noise, even quiet air conditioning! The shower was a pleasure to use... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
