In Prague for business, my secretary booked this hotel. What a suprise! It's really in the middle of old Prague, so after work I good walk trough the city to see some of Pragues highlights. The room was very big and clean. I must say, the matrasses were very hard. Good breakfast!

It Is a good choice if you visit the town for sghtseeing . Yhe hotel is located in the old city center and you can go everywhere on feet and in a walking area from the metro .The hotel is clean ,the breakfast good and the rooms very cosy and you are in the heart of a uniquely preserved historical... Great location hotel, walking distance from all the main tourist spots. Nice breakfast and decent bar, but best of all are the rooms, which are all different and unconventional. Lots of wooden beams, especially on the top floor, and my room had the bed right in the middle of the room, with toilet at one end and shower at the... More

Perfect setting in old town, just round the corner from the powder tower. Immaculately clean hotel. Big rooms lovely bathroom, excellent shower. Lovely welcome glass of bubbly in reception, friendly staff. The breakfast was excellent, good selection of hams and cheese, pastries, good range of sausage bacon etc, cereals, lots of gorgeous bread and a friendly omelette chef, the only... More

Arrived late evening and was welcomed by a glass on prosecco, friendly staff and the room was light and airy. View from the room was out to the Tyn church. Only a 2 minute walk to the old town square and the shops. The bed was really comfortable and the breakfast was varied and plentiful, although good look getting anything... More

Barcelo sits on the edge of Old Town's pedestrian area so taxis can drive up to the door but you're also within walking distance to everything you want to see in Prague. The rooms are big (but dark), the bathrooms are large and luxurious, and the hotel is surprisingly quiet. However, my room smelled like smoke despite being a non-smoking... More

Great location right in the middle of Old Town so very easy to walk to Old Town Square with Astronomical Clock, Charles Bridge, the Castle complex and pretty much to all other sights you want to explore as a tourist in down town Prague.

We visited this hotel for the second time on 12th dec 2014 . The hotel is located in an excellent position for seeing all the highlights of prauge, it is a few minutes walk to the old square . Although in an old building the rooms are modern and beautifully decorated. Once inside your room the noise of the bustling... More

After staying in some new boutique hotels and some old school elegant hotels on this trip - the modern simplicity of this hotel was really great! Located right in the middle of Old Town, so quick to walk to the square and close to all the restaurants and shops. They have free wifi, great concierge services, beautiful rooms and amazing... This was my second visit to Prague, but the first stay in this hotel... and what a gem it was! On arrival we were warmly greeted by the reception staff and given a glass of bubbly ... a lovely touch to start the holiday! Our rooms were ready when we arrived. The room was a very generous size and was... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
