In the heart of Prague, great restaurants around it. Good price and clean. Friendly staff. A great choice and I will come back for sure. The room was well equipped. The restaurant is fine for a good breakfast and even in the evening its okay although there are better choices in the neighbourhood

We have just got back from a four night stay in Prague at the barcelo old town hotel. First of all the hotel to us was in a perfect location, right in the heart of the old town and minutes away from the old town square, which has lots of bars and resturants for you to choose from but do... More

It is a very beautiful, luxurious and good hotel. Ideally situated in the old town, close to restaurants, bars, shops, subway station, but also to several attractions. Lovely building designed, very nice reception area, large and comfortable rooms, very good breakfast, polite staff (who welcomes you offering you a glass of sparkling wine) and all at a very reasonable price.

Stayed at this hotel for three nights and loved every minute of it. The hotel was perfectly situated for all the attractions and close to the Metro and tram stops. Prague is a beautiful city and lots of sights to see so to get back to the hotel after being out all day was a joy to relax and recharge... More

Travelled with Jet2.com from the UK for a week February 12th 2015. Flight was very comfortable good leg room and service. We had booked a taxi transfer with Jet2 which was very punctual however if we had used a different company it was 34 euros return to the hotel and half of what we had paid ! Booking in they... More

Clean, quiet and great location. Rooms on the 5th floor are a bit quirky - low beams (bit painful for 6' 3" husband!) and you had to do a rather odd shuffle round the end of the bed in 503 in order not to fall down the well! It was only 3 steps down but after a few Czech beers,... More

I don't think hotels get much more central - right in the heart of the old town. Our room was enormous and very well equipped. Breakfast had a great choice - there was even a chef who made fresh omelettes. Fab stay - highly recommend this hotel.

Absolutely loved this hotel. The location is perfect, it is right in the centre and you can easily walk to most of the tourist attractions and the main shopping street plus there are lots of local restaurants. The reception staff are all very helpful too, providing advice for restaurants and helping to make reservations. We stayed in a junior suite... More

One of top hotels - excellent location and beautiful rooms. Welcoming reception, good breakfast. However no parking - you have few options to park but not closer than 150-200 meters. The hotel is located just in the city center and so without any transport needs you can enjoy the Old Town, shopping and good dining. If tired then the best... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
