Nicely located near Republic square (Namesti Republiky), steps from and excellent, safe and cheap metro system, and 2 minutes from historic Old Town Square, this hotel really has it all: multi-lingual, courteous staff, very elegant, modern amenities in large, extremely clean and comfortable rooms, perfect isolation from street's noise, even quiet air conditioning! The shower was a pleasure to use... More

Prague, one of the most popular cities in Central Europe, is a place where one needs pay attention to background of TA reviewers when trying to find the optimal place to stay. Many reviewers are first timers and seem to make a fuss on hotels that elsewhere would receive few appraises. Many also seem to praise places with kitchen/kitchenette. I... More

Location is super central, a few mins walk from some of Prague's main landmarks. The hotel itself was well catered for, very nice breakfast in the morning with plenty of choice. Staff were super helpful. The room was comfortable, clean and I had a nice quiet sleep. Room service was reasonably priced and pretty tasty. Only detail: it is very... More

Stayed 2 nights here on business back in March. Was lucky enough to be upgraded to a Grand Suite on the 2nd floor - Wow. Seriously the nicest room I have ever had. There was an entrance hallway and small kitchen area, a huge lounge with a sofa and lots of chairs and at the back of this was the... More

Elegant, modern hotel with spacious rooms and public places right in the centre of Prague. Our first floor room had windows to a side street and was quiet in spite of the crowds passing by during the late evening and night. Hotel staff were very attentive.

Great small hotel. Clean rooms, firm but comfy bed. Quirky room design in that the bed was upstairs within the room in a mezzanine. Air con quiet and very little street noise considering it was summer and Prague is a cafe-culture-drinking town!

Pros: Quiet room, great view. Staff speaks fluent English and is accommodating. Antique look in updated style. Hotel courtyard reminds of the apartments from the movie Taken. Breakfast buffet style, prepared fresh on site. Very close to Old Town Square and Charles Bridge. Cons: Although most everything at breakfast was fresh, the rolls were not.

We were greeted by Jana at reception who was very nice and very helpful and we were offered a glass of wine on arrival which a nice touch. The room was perfect and the terrace bar had a perfect view (although unfortunately this was not open when we were there). The location is ideal between Old Town Square and the... More

We stayed here at the beginning of May and it's hard to find fault with the rooms or the service. We were able to check in quickly and found that our room was enormous! We had booked a family room and were pleasantly surprised to find it had a separate living room that contained two day beds set up for... More

We booked this hotel for three nights particularly because of the location, just round the corner from the Powder Tower situated on the edge of the Old Town's pedestrian area. Close to everything within walking distance. We walked everywhere from the hotel and we did not have to take any sort of transportation to anywhere. On arrival we were warmly... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
