Our family of five thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Clean, tidy and modern and fantastic location. We've enjoyed the Christmas markets every night during our entire stay with the markets a 3 minute walk from the hotel. There are wonderful eating places nearby and close to many tourist attractions. Breakfast offered is great and there is something for everyone.

Just back from a 4 night stay at the Barceló in the Old Town, Prague. Reception staff were very efficient and friendly. We had booked a deluxe suite and were not disappointed. It was duplex in style with lots of room and a WC downstairs and a large bathroom and bedroom upstairs. There is AC in the room to heat... More

Friendly and welcoming staff. We booked affordably, but were presently surprised with such a huge/nice room. Excellent place to stay! We walked everywhere from the hotel. Great lively location. Highly recommend this hotel.

After a long taxi ride through the rush hour traffic it was very nice to be offered a glass of sparkling wine on arrival! I was there on business and the rooms are very large and clean, although I only has a shower, not a bath. We had our meeting in the hotel and the meeting room facilities are very... More

We stayed at the Barcelo old town Praha hotel, everything we expected of a hotel was delivered, the service , quality of room and particularly the location was sensational, We must mention Roman who served us with our cocktails each evening, friendly, knowledgable and courteous, wish more hotels had quality staff like him. I would certainly recommend this hotel for... More

I had a great stay at Barcelo Old Town, I enjoyed being right in the city center, but still the room was very quiet, and clean, and very big. Breakfast was also quite varied and very tasty. I particularly liked the fact that the room was very warm, I usually am freezing in the hotel room in the cold season,... More

This is a very good hotel and they did a pretty good job of looking after us. We had a very nice room/suite, with plenty of cupboards and a lovely big bathroom. The only sadness was that clearly smoking has been permitted at some time and when you walk in you get a strong smell of stale cigarette smoke though... More

Compared to my first stay in December 2012 when I thought that it was a nice hotel with clear opportunities and needs to improve service (check-in and check-out, arrangements for car parking etc.) I have to state that there were no reasons to complain during my last stay in August 2014. In case you have a chance to book one... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
