The best hostel I have stayed in so far as apart of my interailing tour. Very close to the train station (about 15 mins walk) and also close to the old town (20 min walk) - where all the bars/clubs are located. Me and my friends known as the 'Big 8' were welcomed with open arms, all the staff were... More

The staff, the clientele and the atmosphere of this place are all top notch. They have amazing day trips and activities which I recommend to get an idea of the area and familiarize yourself with the city. The staff are awesome. So helpful and friendly from the time you arrive until you depart for your next destination. I would recommend... More

Worth every penny! Great place to stay in Prague. Fun, helpful staff that makes the stay even better. We were a group of 25 now graduated students and 2 teachers, 7 of which arrived early from a festival in Germany and they were so thrilled with the place upon arrival, as they had been sleeping on the floor and sharing... This is my second time and the hostel one Prague and it's such a good place to stay. There is a terrace out back for having a free drinks you bought from the shop in the sun and there is also a bar downstairs for having a few before hitting the town (you must try club roxy). Super friendly staff... More

Travelled to Prague from Amsterdam, easily accessible on local transport. Has a great underground bar that serves nice and cheap Czech beer and the staff work hard to make your night great. They put on outings and activities everyday of the week, so there is plenty to do! Would defiantly stay again, and is a must book if travelling to... More

My stay at hostel one was just the best. We were welcomed by the friendliest girl at reception she was so helpful and talked us through a map of Prague pointing out where to eat, party, shop etc. Every time we exited and entered the hostel they would greet us and ask if we needed any directions or help. When we first arrived at this hostel, we immediately knew it was going to be a good time and it did not disappoint. The staff is very lively and plans outings each day and night. This was a major plus and helped us make the most of our time in Prague. The rooms were very nice and I felt like... More

Hostel One is still by far the best hostel I've stayed at anywhere. The staff were jolly, and were explorers eager to swap stories too. They greeted me with a free (!) welcome dinner when I arrived. The dorms and the bathrooms were orderly and clean too.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
HostelOne Prague belongs to the famous Spanish One chain. It is a hostel for backpackers, run by a young international staff that is waiting to help you in any matter. This place is different compared to most hostels, since it is more a home, than simply a bed. It is a place where we add a personal touch. A place where you can be whoever you want to be. Whether you like to chill out in our backyard garden, have a chat with one of your fellow travellers while you cook up dinner, completely change your travel plans in front of the computer, have a laugh and a cold beer in our bar, or chill on our comfy couch watching a movie; we are looking forward to meet you! Neighbourhood:Our place is located in the new upcoming art nouveau area of Prague. You will find several restaurants, bars, and clubs just around the corner. They are all very local and great value. Supermarkets and several mini-markets are just minutes away. It is only a 15-minute walk, or a 5-minute tram ride, to get yourself to Old Town Square. Facilities:This is definitely a place you will not want to leave soon. Do not worry about carrying that heavy backpack any further than our doorsteps… we have an elevator! Our fully equipped kitchen is waiting for you to make your own home-cooked meal. The lounge provides you with a wide range of DVDs, a big comfy sofa and computers with free internet. If you feel like escaping the busy city life you can relax in one of the balconies, patios or in our beautiful garden. Our place will be filled up with backpackers, but heads up, every room has its own bathroom. As we do not like rules too much ourselves, there is no curfew, or any weird prohibitions. Staff:Our staff will go well out of our way to assist you anyway possible. Either to tell you about some undiscovered spots in Prague or to take you out for world-renowned Czech beer; nothing is too crazy for us. Since we have been all over the world ourselves, we think we can provide you with a perfect mixture of hospitality and experience. Perhaps we can even talk with you in your own language. Cleanliness is a thing we care about a lot. That is why our lovely cleaning staff works everyday to keep the place shiny clean. Please note that reception works from 7:30 am till 12:00 am. so if you're arriving later than that, be sure to state it on your booking or to contact us via e-mail or telephone. Official check-in time is at 3:00 pm and check-out time is at 10:30 am. Please Note: cancellation must be notified at least 48 hours before the day of your arrival only by e-mail. ... more   less
