Stayed for 5 nights, Feb-March 2014. Receptionist was fairly helpful but there is a £25 deposit per person, Our room was great, lots of room, clean and beds were comfy. The rooms only downfall was the smell of damp from the bathroom and it affected the whole room. Maid was in everyday, although it was between 9-10 so quite early... More

This hotel looks ugly from the front. It shares the reception area with a sports centre and is not welcoming. The first thing we noticed in the room was a horrible 'drain like' smell. Think it came from shower. The shower was not ideal, the shower head had to be held by hand. A kettle and cups were provided but... More

I'll start with the positives (not that there's many). The hotel is very close to the centre and was very clean. Also the man at check-in was very nice, friendly and helpful. Now for the negatives: the hotel is located inside a sport facility which doesn't leave a good first impression at all, the safe in the room didn't work,... More

Only giving it poor because most hotels that I would call "average" are slightly a step above. But I will say this, the hotel room was large and clean and offered just what we were looking for: A clean place to sleep, in the historic district and CHEAP. We paid $130 USD for 2 nights - I knew what we... More

Stayed as a family for 3 nights. On the edge of the old town and not too far to walk to the main square. Also a short walk to the river. Lots of cafes, bars and restaurants nearby, taxi travel is cheap if you want to go further afield. Staff at the hotel are all friendly and helpful. Plenty of... More

Very basic hotel in an amazing location! Close to everything! If you just want somewhere to put your head down this is ideal... Can get quite loud at night as it's behind a club (mint club by the way!) but other than that it was fine!

Great location with everything you need close by. A 5 min. walk to Old Town Sq., Restaurants, and bars close by and cheaper then more touristy areas. Breakfast was good but always the same, which was fine for us and we could make a sandwich or two for a lunch. They helped with the taxi to the airport which saved the... More

I stayed at the Rubicon for a stag weekend - Friday to Tuesday. 11 of us arrived late on Friday night to be told that our rooms were not available. The receptionist said it was due to an electrical fault but I doubted this (my suspicions were later proven right) He wasn't particularly apologetic/sympathetic. We were placed in an apartment... Spent a week recently at Hotel Rubicon, Praha1. Looking at earlier reviews after booking made me very apprehensive of the outcome. Worst feature is the facade but once you're inside everything looks up. Rooms clean, good firm mattress, crisp linen, towels and courtesy shampoo in basic enough surroundings. Location only 10 minutes walk from Old Town square. Nice restaurants, superb cafés... More

"Hotel" is an exaggeration for this place. The price is all right and the location isn't bad. For about 60 CKZ we could get breakfast included, but you can easily use it better in Prague. Our hairdryer and most importantly our showerhead didn't work. Remember to bring your own soap - and Mattress if possible, that's no joke. Soviet style... More
