we lived here on & off for a year and we are very satisfied with our experience. the only problem was the room service from the cafe located downstairs. we would use it pretty much daily, but after a while they got too used to us, and they forgot about keeping up with the good service (they would forget to... Nothing less than perfect about Hunger Wall residency. Nice owners who run the place like its your own cozy and cushy home. Excellent location in walking distance to all major city landmarks, lot of good restaurants and cafes in the vicinity (Stara Praha and Olympia, to name a few) and the charming Mala Strana at the doorsteps. Lovely and spotlessly... More

This is an ultra quiet oasis in a busy city. located in Lesser Town but walking distance or an easy tram ride to the Old Town . The rooms are beautifully modernized and well appointed , very spacious. The heritage building makes you feel like you are stepping back in time. The staff were most helpful and friendly. Lesser Town... More

Great property with easy access to trams for all areas of the city including mala strana which is also only 600m walk. The apartment was lovely and clean and the staff helpful although I was a little put out when I raised the noise issue with a member of the team only to be told that it could not be... More

We recently stayed in a one-bedroom apartment in Hunger Wall Residence in Prague for the second time, after first staying there two years ago. Our recollections of how excellent these apartments are were borne out once more. They are spacious, very attractive, immaculately maintained and the warmth, helpfulness and professionalism of the staff members are exemplary. We had a street... More

We had a wonderful stay here! Located in a nice, quiet location. Close to local transport and within walking distance to many Prague sights. Staff was very friendly and accommodating and the rooms were very nice. I requested a balcony prior to our stay and sure enough there it was, small but quaint. May be a bit off the beaten... More

We were very happy with our selection. The staff were helpful and relaxed. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well equipped. We made tea and coffee and used the kitchen a little but mostly ate breakfast in the cafe on the ground floor, which morphed into a highly recommended, intimate restaurant in the evenings. We also liked the location which... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
