This small nice hotel is located just across the Prague Central Train Station. Walking distance to main attractions in the new and old town. Rooms are average with typical European hotel like amenities. No soap bars, no shampoos or hand lotions. No Iron is available in rooms. Breakfast menu is fabulous with variety of Czech and international cuisine. Hotel staff... More

The room is big with nice design especially the stairs and paintings. Front desk is also nice and helpful. However as soon as I checked my bedding, I found a blood stain under the bed sheet. I told the front desk right away but unfortunately no housekeeper was at duty at 16:00. I had to remove the lining myself and... More

Prague is one of the most beautiful European cities and there are also a lot of hotels here. We stayed at the Chopin beacuse it is right across the main trainstation and we had to cath an early train the next day. For us one night was enough. Rooms small, leaving you with a hostel feeling rather than a 3-star... More

This hotel is visible directly across a grassy area as you exit the Prague main station. It is a reasonably short walk from Wenceslas Square and somewhat further to Prague Old City. The hotel is very clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are fairly small, but are well organised and have most facilities. Overall this is... More

For a 3 star hotel this was very good! I wasn't expecting it to be this good. Staff are friendly, rooms a decent size, tiny bathroom but manageable for a couple of days. Would recommend for location and price. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

I chose this hotel because it was conveniently located near the train station and was relatively cheap. As I came from another city and Prague was my last, I needed a convenient location where I can also get a shuttle to the airport. I was impressed with the look of their room - linens look and smell clean, room was... More

I stayed at the hotel chopin in the first week of June. It's conveniently situated opposite HLAVNI NADRAZI ( the main station). Great if you plan to venture further a field. Luckily I got a corner room which was very spacious. The hotel staff were friendly. My booking came with a free breakfast which was more than ample to start... More

If traveling by train, this hotel is perfectly located. Front desk service was friendly and helpful. Room was OK, bathroom small but OK. It was a short walk to Wenceslaus Square and around 20 minutes more to the main square. The state opera is also within walking distance. We bought tickets an hour before the performance of Il Trovatore. Overall... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
