Experienced the wonders of Augustine last year. The hotel bar has a great champagne selection, which is appealing to our taste buds. The rooms are huge, super comfy, extra large beds, didn't really experience many better hotel rooms across the world. I am proud we have a such a wonderful hotel in Prague. Strongly recommended.

The quality of house keeping in this hotel is quite amazing , i found the consistency and perfectionism of maid service perfect .As i have stayed at this hotel over 20 times in past year i would like to add that it is sad the management do not reach the same standards as their staff as overall quality has dropped... I stayed in the Augustine for a recent trip to Prague and had an amazing experience. The hotel is beautiful and has such an interesting history. Great location, easy walk to the Charles Bridge, Castle, and Old Town while still being enough away from the action to rest and relax. The staff is fantastic and the rooms were very comfortable... For starters, the staff are world class. The front desk ensured I was promptly pickup at the airport without any hassles and checked into my room. Very quite, and historical as the hotel is comprised of seven, 13th-century buildings, including a former monastery. The major attractions are within walking distance. I recommend walking to most attractions as its easy to... More

Stayed 4 wonderful nights...the staff from the Manager to the Housekeeping were exceptional...enjoyed a beautiful dinner in the Elegantes Restaurant...1887 Bar serves the original St Thomas Brewery Beer; which was apart of the 13th Century Augustine Monastry, which now is the gorgeous hotel. Centrally located...easy walk to Charles Bridge and many area restaurants. The bath suite is well-appointed with gorgeous... More

My partner and I stayed for one night only. Unfortunately, as we felt very welcome and comfortable in this beautiful and centrally located hotel. As an spg Platinum member I got a lovely junior suite with an excellent mix of old and new. The windows opened to the courtyard with views to the adjacent church. From the hallway we had... More

Stayed here while attending a family wedding at the hotel. Really lovely place, lots of lovely touches in the room, fantastic nights sleep and breakfast was amazing in the morning. Fantastic hotel and service. The staff were also very helpful and friendly, especially with my grandmother, which was lovely.

The Augustine is a breathtakingly beautiful setting to experience the wonder of Prague. The hotel itself is exquisite, the facilities top class and the staff really could not be more helpful or friendly. Nothing is too much trouble . We cannot wait to return.

Our final night in a three week European vacation, The Augustine was an indulgent selection which did not disappoint. The renovated monastery has been nicely renovated to include all the mod-cons. Staff deliver excellent service, complimented by luxury touches in the rooms and centrally located this was a wonderful hotel. We also recommend the hotel car for your airport transfer... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
