Went to Prague for the weekend with my husband, we chose this place for its location (its perfectly placed close to Charles Bridge and the Old Town Square) and we got surprised with a good room, good breakfast and quite helpful staff. Definitely would stay there again.

So there's are some confusion to the name "Road Road Residence" and "Royal Road" which are both the same. We booked whatever it was that was cheap and wasn't expecting too much when we arrived. Basically we went from rags to riches and had our own 'Eurotrip' movie moment. We weren't expecting to have an entire apartment to ourselves, especially... More

We (two adults and one child) stayed here for two nights in September. We had a two room apartment on the sixth floor. It is worth noting that the elevator only goes to the fifth and you have to walk the stairs to the sixth. Something to note, if you have heavy luggage. The apartment was large and consisted of... I admit, the thing that let this hostel down for me was that I found it nigh impossible to find. Being abroad, I had no internet on my mobile. I didn't know enough Czech to ask for directions. I was three hours late to arrive due to train delays earlier in the day. On top of all of this, I... More

We booked this hotel/apartment at the last minute when the first hotel was horrible. This hotel is in the middle of Old Town and is VERY centrally located to EVERYTHING you would want to see in Prague. We stayed in the unit that is facing the street which is filled with people very late into the night. The noise didn't... More

The location is very good, close to everything right in the middle of the old town. The apartment is spacious and the staff was very friendly and tried to help us. But this doesn't compensate on the bad. Every morning around 7 am the room is filled with sun light and we couldn't sleep. The boiler didn't work for 3... More

We got in after 10 pm, and they left the keys with the neighboring hotel that had 24 hour desk service. What they didn't tell us is that our actual room was in the building next to where their office was, we spent an hour sorting out where we were going before we settled in. After that initial confusion though,... More

The Royal Road Residence was amazing and perfect for our group. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was huge and delicious, and the location of the residence was perfect. Close to Old Town, Charles Bridge, the Lobkowicz Palace, really everything. Christine was so helpful in organizing day excursions and we so appreciate all her help. The... More

This was not as advertised. While the location was convenient to the Charles river bridge it was so noisy making sleep an impossibility. Since there was no AC the windows needed to be open. The furnishings were sparse. No TP holder or amenities. Not that clean and the mattress was 2" cheap foam. The entire apartment was in need of... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
