Stayed here whilst inter-railing around Europe with a few friends. This hostel was one of our favorites from the whole trip. The location is great - right in the center of town - walking distance from the river and from loads of places to visit. The staff were really friendly and helpful - the hostel is a great place to... I stayed in Hostel Downtown for 3 nights and had a great time. The staff are very friendly and two of the nights I stayed there was a free event where people could join in cooking a meal or something similar. Clean, spacious room and comfortable beds. A great bakery and a supermarket just next door and the Old Town... More

I stayed here for 2 weeks. One of the most fun hostels i've stayed at. From the moment i arrived, i felt at home and at the same time in the middle of a great social atmosphere. Brent genuinely goes out of his way to make you feel part of the hostel community. Not only this but he and Marek... More

We booked two nights at this hostel and ended up staying 5! The hostel has a really welcoming feeling, and its extremely easy to meet people. Every night there was some sort of cooking session where the hostel provided the food, and someone to supervise, and we cooked dinner together. And the meals were delicious! On the US thanksgiving night... More

Overall very good value for money and the staff was really helpful! Some minor negative comments: My friend and I were staying on the 6th floor and the water pressure at the shower was slightly weak . The blanket provided was also a bit too small. Other than that the stay has been brilliant and I would recommend it!

Great hostel. Stayed in private double room. Very secure, have to use your key card 3 times before you even make it to your room. Nice, well stocked guest kitchen. Decent filling breakfast for 3.50 Euro. Wifi here is pretty fast all over. Hot water never ran out on us. 10 minute walk to the old square. Can easily organize... More

I stayed only 2 nights but I experienced really chilled atmosphere in this Hostel. Everyone in the Hostel was really friendly and helpful. Especially receptionists Bára and Adam who were spreading good mood all over the place. Thanks to them I did not really want to leave and I will definitely come back when I will have the chance.

This was my first time traveling solo and Hostel Downtown made that experience fantastic! My first night, I went in the ghost tour led by Mirek, who was a funny and knowledgeable guide. The tour is also great for seeing Prague's main sites by night. I also went to the cooking leason with Pavlina, which was really fun and delicious... More

I've been in a lot of Hostels but never felt that much like home like in hostle Downtown. Espacially the "community room" with couches and a PIANO made me feel that comfortable because the atmosphere was just relaxed and there was no day without meeting nice people in there. The staff is great and so the activitys are (cooking session!... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
