One of the best hotels I have stayed at in Europe. Very large room and spacious bathroom by European standards. A joy just to lounge about in the attractively decorated room. Large comfortable bed. Breakfast is excellent. An easy walk to city center. I couldn't believe how good it was, a quality hotel, especially for the price.

We visited the Embassy Hotel with an organised tour so had not chosen it personally. It proved to be a very enjoyable stay. First impression on arrival was that the locality was a bit run down but any doubts were soon dispelled upon entering the hotel. The staff were excellent. Very friendly and helpful. It is not easy when 40+... More

Spent three nights here with a group. Beautifully decorated with plenty of seating to relax. Lovely staff, really good continental breakfast including hot choices. Short walk to centre - 10-15 mins. Good Italian restaurant and other eateries and bars nearby. Rooms really lovely, large bathrooms with bath and shower. Would go back.

The hotel is exactely where it has to be. 10 mins away from the really old town city center. Colose to supermarket and tram station. Rooms are pretty clean and well furnished. The service is kind and smily. Nothing more to ask for a biz trip in Prague. Just one small point...about the brekfast. Rooms too small in the peak... More

Just returned from a tour with Newmarket Holidays. This hotel was central, clean, with a continental breakfast, but no evening meal offered. However a good selection of food places near-by. Excellent choice for us was' The Butchers.' Probably the best meal I have ever eaten out in my life.

We had three nights here last week Monday, Tuesday & Sunday. On both occasions we had superbly equipped & comfortable rooms. Plenty of wardrobe & drawer space, lovely clean bathrooms with lashings of hot water as well as quality toiletries. The breakfast is typically continental, plenty of breads, rolls & pastries. Jams, butter, yoghurts & fresh fruit are plentiful &... More

We stayed for 3 nights in this hotel staff were friendly helpful and most spoke a good standard of English. Hotel is in a quiet area about 7/8 minutes from the City Centre and not far from one of the rail/metro stations. No dinner is served, but there are a number of good restaurants within easy walking distance. Breakfast could... More

Well... let's start with the positives. The staff was very good and very helpful, the room was clean, the bed was very comfortable. The lobby was very nice, but I never made it to brunch so I can't comment. My Room (102) was a good size also, pleasant in that regard. However (you knew that one was coming, right?) there... More

Dear Mr. Tom, firstly, i would like to thank you for your opinion and also for your stay in our hotel. The hotel is within walking distance to the main shopping district and the old town. We were happy to walk it but there is also a metro very close. The rooms and bathroom are clean. The hotel is very good looking and huge. The room was very nice. We did not hear anybody else from other rooms, only when cleaners were cleaning-that is normal. I was impressed by breakfast. I was looking forward to breakfast every day. Everything was fresh and the selection was great. When we needed, the receptionist loaned us an umbrella and... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
