My friends and I stayed at this hostel for 3 nights in a 4 bed dorm. The location is great, 10/15 mins walk to the old square and easy to get around. I used the airport transfer service that the hostel advertises and although there was a slight mix up with picking me up, Roman the driver was lovely. Our... More

Right next to a metro station and a two minute walk away from the river made this hostel a great one to stay in! The beds were comfy and it wasn't too noisy. Would definitely recommend for people looking for cheap accommodation!

The title says it all really. This hostel, like many buildings in Bohemia, has seen better days. However if you ignore the tired, worn decor, this is a well located hostel. I wouldn't stay more than two or three nights; the beds are not comfortable and squeek every time you move and the bathrooms can be a bit hit and... More

Well....that's it ;) We stayed for 2 nights in a 5bed room with shared bathroom and it was quite good. The toiletts and the bath were clean (enough). The best thing about hostel emma is the location for that very low price. You can walk to the city center in about 10-15 minutes

We interrailed round Europe as 5 girls and this hostel was okay but nothing to recommend. Very dingy, no atmosphere at all. Bathrooms were clean but again very dingy and the whole place was extremely dated. We stayed in a room of 5 girls which again was clean but pretty depressing. Definitely wouldn't chose to go back as we preferred... More

We stayed at the hostel for 3 nights in an 8 bed dorm. The room was clean and had enough space so it didnt feel cramped. The bathroom was always kept clean within reason and had enough facilities to avoid queues. Staff were helpful but I wouldnt say friendly, on our last day the receptionist told us it was fine... If you need a place to crash for one night, this place is fine. Otherwise, avoid. The receptionists are among the worst I've encountered during my travels. They speak VERY little English. They are unfriendly & NOT helpful at all. The common area consists of a couch. Which no one hangs out it. I'm a solo traveler and there is... More

We got moved from our room during our three night stay to a room of the exact same beds that was empty and a worse room for what looked like no reason after being told we had no choice and then on the morning of the move getting woken up and told we've missed our check out when we were... More

Great location, just a 10 minute walk from the old town. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfy!! We had a well equiped kitchen and communal area to eat !! :) Staff were very helpful, especially when we accidentally locked ourselves in the stairwell for half an hour!! Would happily go back!!

this hostel was not bad, positives were location, price and in the showers there is a private shower and toilet for females which was great. Negatives were that the curtain in our room was broken so people could see into our room from the street. Also there is no printer or places to print nearby, which makes it very stressful... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
