Good value. Very average. No ambiance. Some what clean. Very basic hostel. Down stairs smells a bit moldy. The receptionist was nice. Very good location . The crowd seemed older and more reserved . Good place to crash.

1. Extremely unfriendly and unhelpful staff. When asked for good restaurants we were told to just go anywhere. 2. Extremely small room with heater on all day (couldnt turn it off) 3. Small, uncomfortable, noisy beds. If you weren't drunk enough before going to bed you would wake up with pain all over your body or no sleep at all,... More

As the title says, you are in the very center of the city and the price is not high but that's pretty much it. There is a common area with a kitchen where you have everything for preparing a meal; there is also coffee or tea for everyone. Bathrooms are ok, clean enough; hot water and showers are available when... More

My friends and I picked this accommodation both for its price and location. We stayed in a 6 bed room for 2 nights, and the hostel was exactly what we needed. Don't expect anything fancy- this is simply an affordable, well located hostel for the traveler who wants to be out exploring the city. The staff were relaxed and helpful,... More

The location is absolutely fantastic! You can find everything walking around. The most attractive thing is the price, it is really cheap. The facilities are not the best, the bathrooms could be a little better, but it is not something that ruins the stay. The wi-fi worked perfectly in my room, but I am not sure if it works in... More

My friends and I stayed at this hostel for 3 nights in a 4 bed dorm. The location is great, 10/15 mins walk to the old square and easy to get around. I used the airport transfer service that the hostel advertises and although there was a slight mix up with picking me up, Roman the driver was lovely. Our... More

Right next to a metro station and a two minute walk away from the river made this hostel a great one to stay in! The beds were comfy and it wasn't too noisy. Would definitely recommend for people looking for cheap accommodation!

The title says it all really. This hostel, like many buildings in Bohemia, has seen better days. However if you ignore the tired, worn decor, this is a well located hostel. I wouldn't stay more than two or three nights; the beds are not comfortable and squeek every time you move and the bathrooms can be a bit hit and... More

Well....that's it ;) We stayed for 2 nights in a 5bed room with shared bathroom and it was quite good. The toiletts and the bath were clean (enough). The best thing about hostel emma is the location for that very low price. You can walk to the city center in about 10-15 minutes

We interrailed round Europe as 5 girls and this hostel was okay but nothing to recommend. Very dingy, no atmosphere at all. Bathrooms were clean but again very dingy and the whole place was extremely dated. We stayed in a room of 5 girls which again was clean but pretty depressing. Definitely wouldn't chose to go back as we preferred... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
