The room was large and beatiful. It was clean and warm. The breakfast was very rich. 2 minutes from the central square and the astronomical clock. There was some noise the night but nothing to worry about.

Hotel Metamorphis-Excellent lives up to its name, and we enjoyed luxurious room with a large bath two minutes from Prague's Old Town Square. Like much of Prague's old town there are remnants of the buildings former self poking through the modern upgrade. Breakfast across the lane in the basement of a local restaurant matched the ambiance with good food.

The hotel is conviently close to the square we stayed in main building, and as long as windows shut we were not disturbed by any late night noise. Excellent breakfast served in the restaurant Vabene opposite, the staff are very friendly and the rooms very comfortable. Their are no lifts in the hotel, it could be a problem if not up... More

The hotel is located quite close to the old square and clock tower, and walking distance from the Jewish quarter and Wenceslas Square. We stayed in the main hotel, although there is also an annex across the alley. The rooms were nicely appointed, although our bathroom only had a tub (with a shower attachment). As we were with a group... More

Great hotel! Clean and well decorated in keeping with the rustic old town square theme! Breakfast was fine, served in the restaurant just across from the hotel there was a good variety of the usual continental bits (fruit, yogurt, pastries, cheeses, hams) and a small selection of hot, cooked options (Chicken sausages, omelettes, scrambled eggs and bacon). The hotel is... More

I did really enjoy staying in this hotel. There is a Beer Spa located within the hotel. It was cool but I will save that for another review. The hotel of course does not have an elevator. There is a bell hop who will carry your luggage up the stairs. We stayed in the main building and had excellent accomodations.... More

Right in the heart of the old town, just off the main square. Two separate buildings. I was in the annex, which was no problem. There's an elevator. The wifi is fast. Breakfast was included, but I didn't have it.

My wife and I stayed two nights here on the second stop of our honeymoon tour of Europe. Our suite was enormous (probably more than we needed for such a short stay) and the spires of The Church of Our Lady before Tyn were prominently visible from the bedroom. As first time visitors, the hotel provided great access to Old... More

I was warned about visiting Prague on a weekend and I learned why. This glorious old European city has been discovered and then some. We loved the hotel -- comfy bed, spacious room, good breakfast included -- we even had a little balcony overlooking the Tyn church. But the old town square was a riot of mimes, Segway tours, bubble... More

Hotel was great. If you are booking directly, you are better off. I booked through Expedia and wanted to exchange the last day of my stay for a day before I was to head home and they would not let me. Had I booked directly, I could have changed it. As a result, I lost a night's stay and had... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
