4 stars in Prague is something that can get tricky. I have been to Amarilis before, but it appears that they have made some important improvements, especially with the personal. Rooms are spacious, exceptionally comfortable, generally very clean and well handled. Fresh towels every day, without asking (not a standard in Prague). Breakfast was very rich for four days and... Myself, daughter and her friend stayed here for 2 nights, we had a very comfortable room and the staff were friendly and helpful. It's in walking distance to all the main attractions and only a 10 min walk to the main train station. While staying there we hired the jacuzzi and sauna room for an hour, it was very cheap,... Great hotel for a low price. Spacious room, great breakfest. Location coulb be better (about 700 meters from the metro station) but it was not an issue. Helpful staff. I would definitely recommend it.

We stayed at Amarilis for four nights in December 2014 to January 2015 Property in general & Location: This hotel is a relatively large spread which seems more like a business hotel but at this time I saw alot of tourists and families. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from Wenceslas square and relatively close to all main attractions... More

Four ladies travelling together we had two twin rooms - both were exceptionally clean and of good size. Even the mini bar was reasonable! The breakfast which was included was very good - lots of choice from the hot and cold buffet but the staff were a bit too keen to clear your plates; mine went missing when I just... More

Hotel Amarilis is the perfect place to stay when you are in Prague. The staff is very friendly and service minded, the rooms clean and tidy and air conditioned. Some of the rooms have balconies facing the calm street outside and there is even a terrace on the roof. The breakfast is excellent in this **** hotel. It won´t take... More

First, I loved the hotel itself. It was in a great location, only a few minutes walk to one of the main squares. It had a mini-mart across the street to get drinks and things as well as a great like cafe/deli right next door that smells amazing and had good food. Our room was very comfortable- nice size, comfy... More

The Amaralis is a modern, clean, reasonably comfortable and totally impersonal hotel, situated close to Wenceslas Square and within easy reach of all the sights. Our rooms were at the back of the hotel and very quiet. They were large and well equipped although the lighting, possibly because of their Feng-shui theme, was dim. The bathrooms were excellent , with plenty... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
