We stayed two nights at this delightful pension. Our host could not do enough for us. Beautiful terrace on the river for breakfast or a glass of wine. The room we had was one of the nicest we have ever experienced.

We found Guest House Olsakovsky after eating at a restaurant on the same street. Jan's mother showed us around - there's a wonderful terrace right on the river, a kitchen where you can make yourself tea and coffee, and cool rooms with views over the river. One wall of the building is from the 13th Century, and most of the... More

We stayed 3 wonderful days at the pension Olsakovsky. The house is beautiful and the bedroom was big and very nicely decorated. We stayed in one of the attic rooms (the one at the Parkan street... very quiet and with no traffic) and felt really confortable there. You find your breakfast daily on a tray in the dining room (at... More

We spent too much time trying to get there since you can't go through the square. We paid in crowns after realizing that the euro exchange rate was 10% more than it should have been. Breakfast was nondescript and I don't know how anyone could make such terrible coffee. Driving through the pedestrian zone we had to close the side... More

For $50 a night total, you (and a friend) can sleep in a darling, family owned pension overlooking a river and a storybook castle. Sound good? Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, including the great breakfast for a low added price. One of the best values of the trip.

I just can't say enough good things about Pension Olsakovsky. I know that what I will say will just repeat what's already been said a thousand times on here, but this place is just amazing. We stayed in room 5, the big room on the top floor overlooking the river and castle. The room is huge and easily accommodated the... More

We stayed here for two nights in July. I booked in early March and the attic room facing the river was already booked, but we got the other attic room which faces the street. The room was large, with a comfortable seating area, nice bathroom, and view to the street which was lovely and quiet since it is not a... More

This was probably my favorite hotel during our 2 1/2 weeks traveling across Europe. We stayed 2 nights and our group of 4 had the two rooms on the top floor. Our rooms were very spacious, but the furnishings and angled ceilings made the rooms so cozy and quaint. The bathrooms were also quite spacious. One of our rooms overlooked... More

Spacious room, clean, quiet and comfortable. Centrally located. If you are driving, you have to ignore the pedestrian only signs and follow the directions given to the hotel. The hosts do not live on site, so make sure they know when to expect you. Breakfasts are cold and set out at the time you request. Don't miss the lovely patio... More

The location is very good, on a side street but near the river. We also had Room 2, downstairs, and it is certainly cramped, as is the bathroom. You really don't have space even for a moderate amount of luggage. The breakfast was fine, and huge. We even made sandwiches from it one day for hiking, so it probably doesn't... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our guest house Olšakovský is situated directly in the heart of the historical center of Český Krumlov, just two streets parallel below the town square Svornosti in the former handicraft street Parkán on the right bank of the Vltava river. Only very few accommodation as us can offer the location in the heart of the town with such calm and cossy atmosphere side of the tourist rush of the main road by the river Vltava. We can offer our guests the ideal chance for a pleasant vacation in an absolutely quiet and hidden part of town center with the unique experience of old medieval times, but with the comfort of the present. The river is just behind the house with a garden. ... more   less
