Cesky Krumlov is a beautiful town with incredible character and views around every corner to die for. Hotel Ruze enjoys a great location right at the top of the old town. Had none of the dreaded parking issues other travelers reported in previous reviews, as we found the lot with no problem, found a parking spot (it was mid-week) and... more

First word when I entered the room - wow. I didn't expect a room that big from this little town. The furnitures looked like Medieval times alike stuff which suites the town atmosphere and... i am not trying to sound stupid but the bed sheets smelled really really good. The instant I fell on the bed and stayed on it... more

Beautiful localisation, very efficient check-in, nice old building, but comparable expensive parking, small rooms, bathroom inward with no daylight and window, breakfast not up to standard, service just about friendly (not at reception - but everybody else, no wifi - all together not bad not good which is a shame because the beautiful setting and the wonderful old building could... more

We have just returned from a weekend in Cesky Krumlov that we will never forget and for all the right reasons. My son who is English and was marrying a Czech girl decided to have their wedding at the magnificent Castle in Cesky. We had our doubts about this plan as it wasn't going to be the easiest option arranging... more

I stayed at this hotel as part of a Backroads bike trip. The hotel was a former monestary, and the first remodel looks like it was tastefully done. But then the current owner added in fake frescos, bad art, and some life size figures of knights and religious figures. The current decor is a little weird. But aside, from that,... more

Great service... great spot ( ask for river side room) very modern , yet old world charm all in one. Windows open fully! big plus. Yet rooms have " real" individual air conditioning... that works. best of both worlds. more

I agree with an earlier review-- this hotel gave me a feeling of abandonment! My room was very dark and mysterious-- I think the hotel was an old monestary or something. But it was fine in terms of facilities. Great, renovated bathroom and the restaurant and back patio were nice. I'd recommend it. more

We stayed at the Hotel Ruze in June 2007 as part of a group tour. The location is good—a nice walk up the hill from the town square and right on the river. As part of a group we did not have luggage transport problems (you can’t drive your car in the town so you have to walk from the... more

Strange enough hotel. There was a feeling of any abandonment and desertion. And the dinner was almost mysterious - we were ones in a huge hall of restaurant. The waiter of fashionable appearance with the refined and insinuating manners. However the cuisine is simple-minded. If in our room there would be a balcony it would be magnificent! more

The public and private rooms are magnificient. Tasteful imitation renaissance furniture is mixed with antiques. Medieval frescoes were on the hallway walls. Combined with the beauty and history of Cesky Krumlov our stay at the Hotal Ruze was the highlight of a trip to central Europe. Highly recommended. more
