Two nights is perfect – any longer and I would find it hard to keep myself busy. Service or lack of service is more to the point - staff at the front desk extremely disinterested! Room had a funny smell – however we left a room window open while we were out for the day and the smell had disappeared.... more

We were given a nice room facing the castle and stream, away from the road in front of the hotel. I have seen many reports to stay away from the hotels in the town square due to noise and followed their advice so we selected the Dvorak. The town square was a little noisy, but with the Dvorak we left... more

Up until our visit to Cesky Krumlov, Brugges had been our most favorite city in Europe. We have a new favorite and the Dvorak Hotel contributed to this. Our first floor room (102) had windows opening to the river and the bridge and a view upwards to the caste. The check in was very friendly and George the clerk was... more

It’s also a very easy drive, just a straight shot down one... more

Be cognizant the staff speaks very little English, which causes a lot of miscommunication. Don't look for smile or service here, because there is none. The room is definately not four stars, but probably a three star but one star under the covers. That is, we found bugs that likened to bed bugs and despite asking for our sheets to... more

What a pity the staff did not try a little harder. We checked in at 2.30 am and they did not seem pleased to see us despite our 3 hour drive from Prague and them having a 24 hour desk. Shoulders were just shrugged when questioning the parking bill (2.30 am Sunday morning to 9.30am checkout Thursday morning = 5... more

Dvorak was OK. That's the best word I can find to describe the hotel. Our room was massive and clean, but filled with dated furniture and a worn carpet. It overlooked the river but was on the main road and noise from pedestrians and cars was easily heard. The breakfast was poor, and everything, from milk to cereal to cold... more
