We stayed at the hotel for one night. It was a Satyrday and we mistakingly chose to stay in the loft overlooking the main square. The noise was constant and loud until the early hours of Sunday morning. We found that the room was very small and the stairs to the bed could be dangerous, particularly in the night. The... more

I think that all of the hotels on the Square are pretty much the same. We were fortunate to get a top floor (Room # 24) room that was rather large w/ 3 dormer-style windows. Everything clean & fresh. The windows let in a cool breeze and allowed you to listen to distant church bells. BUT at night you will... more

We visited during the five petals festival, so being located on the town center makes it quite loud until very late in the night/morning! However, if you're up for the party, it's a great location! That being said, the room was plenty big enough, with the breakfast being a nice buffet style with plenty to choose from. I would say... more

As we arrived on a Sunday we were keen to visit the Baroque Theatre at the castle and I enquired about this on checking in. The lady at reception telephoned the castle to check availability of tours in English while we were checking in and gave directions. We were very happy with this! Also, we had requested rooms (38 and... more

We loved the Zlaty Andel, which a friend had recommended. Located in the center of Cesky Krumlov, on the main square, it couldn't be better for exploring this charming town. The staff responded within an hour to my email request for a reservation, and gave us wonderful rooms. The hotel restaurant is also an excellent bet for dinner (and I... more

Stayed here for 2 nights in December. Considering I booked the hotel in September & requested a room with a view, I was very dissapointed to find 2 tiny windows too high to look out which was only at a wall anyway. However, the room itself was lovely & rustic, large with a comfortable bed. Beware of the beams..The bathroom... more

After initial apprehension due to reading some negative reviews I soon realised that my worries were groundless. When I arrived at reception the young lady at the desk obviously spotted my walking stick and spoke to the porter. The outcome of this was that I was given a room with easy access. This action I soon discovered typifies the friendliness... more

We stayed at the Zlaty Andel for 2 nights in June 2006 and the hotel really exceeded our expectations. We had a view of the spectacular castle tower from our window, the hotel is located right in the public square in the center of town, and our room was among the best we had experienced in eastern Europe. We highly... more

The nice Zlaty Andel is write in the middle of the town. Ask for a quiet room or you risk yourself with the noise of the bars. The rooms are nice, in a rustic czech style. Nice bathrooms. The breakfast was ok (the average you find in the country). more

We arrived by bus from Prague on a cold March day. Perhaps a map at the bus station showing the location of hotels would have been a bonus but it didn't stop us finding the hotel, located in the town square. It looks very narrow from the outside but this is deceptive and the hotel is probably one of the... more
