The location of the Alchymy is exactly what most guests coming to Cesky Krumlov want to have...in the old town, by the river with castle views. It was exactly what I was after. Being located in a heritage protected area has some downsides which you should be familiar with though. Firstly no cars are allowed in, so if you have... More

The hotel, as the name suggests, is right on the river. It is in an old building so don't expect a lift, so bear that in mind if you have large bags or stairs are a problem for you. The room (room 10, atic) was big and spacious, and seemed to have been updated recently. The bathroom was big, with... More

First trip to CK back in April 2013, so this review is a little dated. Wife and I weren't quite sure what to expect in CK, but decided that it was worth the effort to get there. Booked a driver through CK Shuttle (excellent service) from Linz train station to CK. Booked Hotel Alchemy Riverside after reading reviews here. CK... More

We enjoyed our 2 night stay in room 6 overlooking the river and castle. Huge room with separate loo and bathroom...old furnishings but clean. We were shocked to discover our room hadn't been cleaned at all on our return one afternoon but it was quickly dealt with when someone appeared at the front desk. The desk is not manned much... More

broken toilet seat, empty soap dispensers, no maid service during stay, worst breakfast ever-anywhere, no staff on site after 7:30, no where to sit outside your room as cafe and terrace locked up and gated at 7:30. dirty floors in rooms. no elevator. dilapidated stairs. no air conditioning. windows didn't open. NO WAY it gets 4*, maybe 2.

Really nice and historic hotel in the very center of this beautifull city. We stayes in one of the 2 suites on the last floor. There is a very nice view to the castle. It´s fantastic to sleep and hear just the river. There iís no elevator so you have to walk the old steps every time (but it´s more... More

Very nice place for a short romantic stay in that amazing city. Definitely will come back. The provide us with late check-out which was very nice touch. Staff is very attentive and very polite. Just breakfast could be a little bit improved. Thank you!

The hotel has a great location right on the river. We were in room #3 which was HUGE and had 2 bathrooms - one with a toilet and one with a shower. That's just so nice when you're there with someone else. The decorations were so cozy, breakfast was small but good and we just really enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is nicely located...walking distance to river and the town. Price is reasonable compare to hotels nearby. We had a very spacious room (room #6) with view of the castle. The room was very spacious... and well equipped. Free wifi worked well even on the third floor. But there are no elevators so be aware of that. We visited... More

We moved here from Dvorak hotel around the corner and found it much better value for money! Receptionists were ever so helpful in dealing with booking and other stuff. Our car broke down and they helped a lot liaising with the garage! Room was bigger and more 'fresh' than the Dvorak. Small and human sized. Did not have breakfast so... More
