We neither stayed or ate here but will be back to probably do both. We called in for beer and tasted a couple that were on tap, both were perfectly kept. The old pub with its huge fireplace was charming as was the lady behind the bar. She chatted about the pub telling us about the menus, Sunday lunched etc.... More

Here for a music festival - didn't eat or use the accommodation at the Bowl but sampled many pints of beer! Good range - Gadds, Rockin' Robin, Timothy Taylor's and more. All well kept and served by friendly and welcoming staff. A lovely place to imbibe!

Great B&B Inn with good value for your money. Friendly staff, clean rooms and good food. The breakfast is also super, with everythin on it. We stayed here during our motorcycle tour through Kent in June 2014. Unfortunately there was no parking around the back for our bikes. But hey, nobody would steal it from the front of this lovely... To be honest we just wanted a decently priced overnight close to relatives in Canterbury and so hadn't expected to end up somewhere we're now keen to return to. We had a beautiful four poster room, really comfortable, individual and charming. In the bar there was a good choice of real ales but the big surprise was the amazing pie... More

Booked this room last minute for one night. Arrived and couldn't have been more pleased with welcome from all staff members. The room was lovely with a four poster bed and jacuzzi bath and for the money was brilliant. Had a drink in the garden then an inexpensive but wonderful evening meal. Had breakfast and once again was excellent and... More

After a really hot day the garden was a great place to cool down in. We had a beautiful meal, large portions well cooked and served. The beer was well kept and a good selection was on offer. Excellent service with a friendly smile. Thank you.

We've just come back from staying for three nights at The Bowl and had a great time. It is excellently located for a whole range of daytrips out and much of Kent is within 45 mins drive. We were made to feel welcome from the very start and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We had a charming... More

This pub is now under new ownership and it is clear from the moment you get there. The new landlords are super friendly and appear to have just the right idea for how to bring The Bowl into the 21st century whilst retaining its rustic charm. The subtle redecoration, sensible changes to drink offerings and super revamp of the menu... More

After spending eight weeks at the Bowl Inn it was easy to feel part of the furniture. A beautiful pub/B&B tucked away in the North Downs, myself and my colleague, Captain Slow, were made to feel right at home. From the ambient setting to the warm welcome received from the long standing Landlord Alan and Landlady Sue, and the rest... More
