Had a family of 9 out for lunch here, we ordered starters for 6 of us and 2 children's meals to come out with them. Friendly staff took us to our table and brought out the food almost immediately, all of the starters were well received and we recommend the asparagus as 5 of us had it and loved it.... More

We have been going to the Jolly Brewers for some years now, meeting old friends for lunch and as the Pub was dog friendly, it suited us well. We visited very recently for lunch in the usual way and ordered drinks. These were served accordingly and we asked for the lunch time menu. On doing so, we were asked to... More

We have been meeting friends here every couple of months being quite pleased that our well-behaved dog could sit in the bar with us. I will add at this point that there is also a separate restaurant. We arrived at mid-day, went in, sat down and bought a round of drinks. At that point the waitress said that dogs weren't... More

Came to have lunch here with two friends. The kitchen had had problems with its gas supply an hour or so before we arrived - but all was well when we got there. The food was very good indeed. I had the scampi and a goodly portion too. One friend had the belly pork which he rated as very good... More

Food was excellent, staff were friendly, the brownies were very nice all meals were perfectly cooked and meat was tender. We would recommend the pork belly and the king prawn starter. Table of 5 all throughly enjoyed their night not a complaint to make.

Popped in with 'mother' for a lunch. Very quiet, but service was professional and friendly. Beautifully cooked fish and we were unable to finish due to size of portion. It has definitely gone through a change and needs time to establish the reputation it once had. Hopefully when we visit in the future things will have picked up.

This establishment has changed hands and I am afraid the new owners are not up to the standard of the previous owners by a long way. The room we were allocated was very small and there was only a part filled bottle of complimentary shower gel and several bottles of body lotion. There was only one set of towels even... More

Had to wait 40 mins for the roast when it came it was cold overcooked so bad 3 of us just couldn't eat it. No apologies from owner just told us they had staff problems. This pub used to be really good it's certainly gone downhill with the new owners, we certainly won't be going back.

Having been previously and had a wonderful meal in very pleasant surroundings. Have been extremely disappointed on my visit this weekend. very poor choice on the menu, and when the meals arrived the portions were most definitely not worth the price! 3 meatballs on tagliatelle, for nearly £10 what can you say? Made worse by a scuffle in the bar... More
