I am naturally skeptical of reviews if there aren't a bunch of them. Casa Bambu had a bunch and all very high ratings so I was very optimistic about staying there. I am so glad that we followed up with booking a trip there. This is a place that gives you a little of everything and nothing at the same... More

We first discovered Casa Bambu in 2008 and decided that it had everything that our family needed for the best vacation ever. Birds, kayaks, and remarkable wildlife for momma, surfing for the adrenaline crew, many options for 'field trips' and a really functional kitchen that was perfect for this family of cooks. It's not the easiest place to get to,... More

This place is the perfect Costa Rican nature getaway. The house was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for a terrific 3 day stay. The owner is very helpful and everything described on her website is accurate to the last detail We will return and recommend to others. Thanks you Lyn. Tony

Theres not much I can add to all the wonderful reviews of these amazing houses. I was looking for good quality accommodation in a natural location and Casa Pina did not disappoint. The trip there was interesting as the roads and bridges had suffered quite a bit of storm damage but we got there in the end. Lyns shopping list... More

There isn't enough space or time or words to describe our trip to Casa Bambu. "Wow" seems to be the best way to sum it up. Our group consisted of my husband, myself, our 9 year old son, 17 year old nephew and a long-time friend of our family. We flew into San Jose, stayed the first night there and... More

Dear Lyn, Thank you so much for a little slice of paradise - it was our best vacation ever despite the constant rain. "Mucho Rain" and "Mucho Lodo" were William's constant refrains. William and the crew were exactly as you represented. He was an attentive but unobtrusive presence during our stay. They cooked several meals and made our stay perfect... More

We travel all over with our 2 young boys, Belize, Hawaii once a year, Mexico... and this trip to Casa Bambu was the best trip ever (ask the boys!)... the magic of a house made of bamboo and no "windows", to the sounds of the jungle, the visits from Scrappy (the Tapir that came to eat our fruit scraps everyday),... Big world; short life - we'll never visit the same place twice. We're a family that travels, not holidaymakers, or so we thought until we first walked into Casa Bambu. Four years on we have now spent a total of eight weeks vacation in this fabulously unique jungle home. The yard is a pretty oval stretching down to the Golfo... More

What a wonderful experience!!! There was a monkey show almost everyday from our porch. The kids learned what life is like without all the technology. They really loved learning how to surf and discovering the waterfall pools to swim in. My favorite part was the sanctuary trip where we were "held" by the monkeys that will be reintroduced back into... More

I was invited to join my friends at Casa Bambu for four nights during their family vacation. Boy, am I glad I did! We were a total of three adults and two children (girls, 12 and 9). We all had a fantastic time staying at La Pina. Lyn and Kirk were gracious and helpful as were William the manager and... More
