My husband and I spent four days of our honeymoon at Casa Sonrisa. The whole experience was fantastic. The owners, Lyn and Kirk, were accessible and helpful throughout the booking process and our stay. The caretaker William was friendly and knowledgable and very patient with our limited Spanish. The grounds are full of wildlife and the beach is picturesque, with... More

My husband and two children,13 & 11, spent a week at Casa Sonrisa this April. The house was really lovely and comfortable. The location is nice and remote, yet accessible to town, and walking distance to a restaurant or two. We never tired of watching the monkeys, listening to the howlers or feeding the coati our papaya scraps. The outdoor... More

Thank you so much for your wonderful Casa. Lyn's help in planning the trip was invaluable.  Casa Piña(one of Casa Bambu 's houses) was one of the highlights of our trip. We can't speak highly enough of William and his family. He is such a kind soul. We did the waterfall hike with William which our kids loved.  The meals Olivia... More

We spent 10 days in Casa Sonrisa, one of the 4 homes Casa Bambu offers. Casa Sonrisa is the furthest from the beach, a short 3 minute walk, but offers the best exposure to the wildlife. To everyones delight, we had 3 Capuchin monkeys in a kitchen one day, while coati and mara maras really enjoyed our compost pile. House... More

We only stayed for 3 nights in Casa Linda but it was a real wrench to leave as the house and the view were absolutely lovely. The Osa penninsula is an absolute must for any trip to Costa Rica and when we return we will try to stay here again. The houses are really well located, next to the beach... More

We stayed 9 nights in Casa Bambu, and it was fantastic. My husband kept saying it was like we were on the set of Jurassic Park minus the dinosaurs, and I think that is the perfect explanation. You can kind of imagine what the world was like before people when you are here. I don't think I will ever forget... More

We had two families (9 people!) in Casa Bamboo for 2 weeks. The house is absolutely fantastic. Wonderfully rustic. It is perfectly simple - everyting that you could want without excess. The many windows that open up to the outside give you the feeling that you are part of the natural surroundings.

Stayed for a week in Casa Linda. Two adult couples. Enjoyed every second of our time there. Lapa Rios is a short walk up the road, ate there one night. There is another restaurant down the road in the opposite direction, great place for drinks and food. Used the bus (public, you basically pile in the back of a covered... More

Its been a couple of years since we stayed (at Casa Bambu) as a family of five. We still remember it as one of our best vacations ever. Just getting there is fun and the week we spent there was even better. The monkeys come through the trees every morning and that is frankly awesome, or if you are not... More
