5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Went here for a girlfriend's getaway and had a blast! Tons of activities to choose from and the staff was very engaged in our experience. They felt a little like family by the time we left! The bungalow was breathtaking and the views were even more amazing! We woke up to the wildlife right on our balcony-monkeys, toucans, owls and... More

My husband and I spent the first four days of our honeymoon here, and it was the highlight of our trip! Lapa Rios is the perfect mix of luxury and rustic, adventure and relaxation, surrounded by wild animals but staffed with wonderful people who will meet your every need! Main areas: The lodge is set on the tip of the... More

My two girlfriends and I had an Amazing time. The location is unbeatable, beautiful views from everywhere you are on the property. There were a variety of activities to choose from daily, we participated in the dolphin and whale tour, which was a great experience. The food was amazing for all three meals, and the staff went above and beyond... More

We brought our 8 and 10 year old daughters to Lapa Rios for 5 nights and it was a fantastic experience. Lots of nature hikes, birdwatching, and lounging in our comfy beds reading. All the guides were wonderful and patient. Can't wait to go back.

The bed sheets are always humid, the ceiling fans don't keep you cool, you are always wondering what creature is scurrying out of sight and at 5 in the morning if the glare of the sun doesn't wake you then the holler monkeys or the macaws surely will. I'm sure that it must have been a herculean task for John... More

Dear Interterra, thank you for taking the time to review your stay at Lapa Rios on Tripdavisor. My husband planned this entire trip for our Honeymoon, and I was blown away. The greeting as we came to the resort after a long tiring day and small plane ride was amazing. They had wonderful and helpful people who already acted like they knew us! The room was stunning (#6) and was very private. We had incredible service at... More

My husband and I (with our 16 year old daughter) spent 5 nights at Lapa Rios Ecolodge. It was truly one of the most remarkable hotels/experiences I have ever had. The service and staff at the Lodge are incredible and the rooms not only had amazing views but were spacious, clean and comfortable with private decks and outside showers. Guided... More

Just back from a full week at lapa rios. What an amazing place! All the glowing reviews of this place are well deserved. Their people make you feel like part of the family. Julietta is a rock star! Word of warning: the climb up from bungalows 9-12 is pretty tough. Most nights found us dripping sweat as we sat down... More

Lapa Rios is everything it claims to be and more. We woke up to toucans flying by our balcony and walked to breakfast as squirrel monkeys leapt from tree to tree outside our bungalow. Customer service was amazing. Staff were at the lodge entrance with juice and lime water every time we returned from a tour, slipped into our room... More
