We've been to the pub several times for meals, beer & music, always came away feeling like we'd have a great time and were well treated.

The Buck inn is a traditional country pub & Inn that is set in the idyllic village of Thornton Watless. We stayed in the downstairs family room which was clean and spacious. The room has traditional country furniture (one double bed and two singles), it is very comfortable although the random 70's style chairs could go the distance, it also...

We have lived in the area for 11 years now and have struggled to find a country pub with restaurant rather than a restaurant with a bar within easy reach. I think we have found it. Really pleasant bar with friendly regulars. Stayed for Sunday lunch last week and by accident this coincided with the Sunday Jazz session. The Roast...

Lovely, homely country pub with great beers. We ate twice on consecutive nights. We asked for the medium fish and chips. It was a huge plateful. Batter crisp and light. Chips totally delicious - what I call proper fish and chips. The next night I had a chicken curry with poppadoms and sauce. Really good value for excellent food. Cannot...

My family have stayed at the Buck every year at October half term since 1997, when our son was 4. Every time as we sit in the bar on the first night, we can feel ourselves relaxing.....we love the Buck. Excellent meals always, excellent and friendly service, good ales, beautiful setting overlooking the cricket pitch. You will not get a...

The hotel is somewhat isolated in a small village and is a good choice for a short one night stopover. However, If you want shopping or other activities this may not be the place for you. The service is friendly and the food and real ales in the small pub are excellent. Room was a little small but clean
I stayed for four nights while working in the region.
Bedroom was an acceptable size & everything was clean, & bed just about comfortable enough.
Never tried the breakfast as, as per usual they don't serve the meals early in the hope that you have left & gone to work.
Staff friendly.
Good size car park, unfortunately it was used...

The Sunday lunchtime jazz at the Buck Inn is very popular. Different styles from different bands. The food is very good - cooked freshly for each customer and a good selection on the brunch menu - from a Sunday roast to a Masham rarebit (my favourite). I have not styed at the Hotel (I live 35 miles away so easy...

We stayed at the Buck Inn to explore the surrounding areas of Masham and Ripon. The village where the B&B is has nothing there not even a shop or a post office just The Buck Inn in the middle of it. This didn't particulary bother us as we came away for peace and quiet but incase anyone is booking and...
