We stayed here for 4 nights and would highly recommend this lovely village inn. Not to be missed! Spotlessly clean rooms, slept really well, great cooked breakfast, lovely location on the village green and the staff were really helpful and friendly. Thanks for a great stay!

Stayed here whilst attending a wedding. We had a room on the ground floor overlooking the village green. The room was of an excellent size, extremely comfortable bed, lovely linen, fantastic bathroom and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was top class. Lovely garden area to the rear. Lovely setting and faultless.

I sampled the Gun Dog beer brewed locally in Northallerton. For lunch I ate fish chips and peas, my wife had the Masham Rarebit, and my daughter had... More

We were really glad to hear that you had enjoyed your meal, and many thanks for taking the time to write a review. Thanks for promoting David Wall's Gun Dog bitter as well. It sells really well here, and we try to support local brewers whenever possible. Talking of cricket, it was a very close match on Saturday and both... More

We have a lovely stay here in what was stressing personal circumstances. Hosts were very helpful and it was lovely to sit next to a roaring fire and relax after a strained day. Locals were very chatty and friendly. Breakfast was brill.

This place is lovely, situated in an idyllic English village. Staff are really friendly and warm. The food was amazing and breakfast was a feast. The room although small was made up by the king size bed. Pub was full of locals, so you know it's a good place if the locals love it too.
