We recently holidayed at Sea Shanties with our children and dogs and had a fantastic time. We regularly holiday at Amity Point along the waterfront and were very pleasantly surprised by the cabins, facilities and reasonable price. The basic exterior of our cabin hid a comfortable and well decorated and equipped interior. It was a bonus that our dogs were... More

We stayed at Sea Shanties during the Easter School holidays and it was absolutely fantastic. The kids had a great time playing with other kids and the small number of well behaved dogs who were also guests. There's no pool however the beach is a short walk nearby. Each cabin has basic cooking facilities but there's a fantastic communal kitchen... More

If you are looking for a wonderful family holiday, right on the water, where kids can run around from dawn to dusk, then this is the ideal place. Fishing from the jetty, cooking freshly caught squid in the well equipped kitchen, chasing soldier crabs in the sand flats, dolphin watching and turtle spotting - then settling into a comfy and... We stayed in cabin 6 which was one back from the water. The cabins are cosy and well equipped. Our two small dogs were able to stay inside the cabins which was nice. There is a wonderful outside communal cooking area with BBQ, oven and fridge overlooking the water. A nice spot to relax. Would definitely stay again.

We looked everywhere for a holiday place we could take our dog to and came across Sea Shanties. The place is lovely, right on the water, and very quiet. It fronts to a rock face down to the water so don't expect beach access - that's about a 200m walk. The cabin comfortably slept 2 adults and 2 children (and... More

This is a pet friendly accommodation and situated in a quiet cul-de-sac. Easy walk to pub and corner store. Renovated cabins right on the water. Interior is blue and white beach look and floorboards throughout. Can cook in room but we cooked at the outdoor professional chef kitchen which comes complete with everything you need. People that have stayed leave... More

Modern and stylish renovated cabins with a history, tall gums, a resident koala and right on the water. The little jetty is ideal for white dolphin viewing in the evening and fishing for those who are interested. This is an ideal spot for o/seas visitors or family groups allowing them a taste of the real Australia, without having to rough... More

I have lived in Queensland all my life and our recent few days at Straddie was our first trip to that glorious island, it's only now that I realize what I have been missing all these years. What a magic place it is, we visited with five couples and were lucky enough to choose Sea Shanties for our accomodation. Each... More

I had a very relaxing two night stay at Sea Shanties during a bike ride I was doing from Noosa to Surfers Paradise. I chose it from the reviews on Tripadvisor, and wasn't let down. As soon as I rode in after a 150k ride I started to relax. I got cabin no. 1 which is one of the closest... More

We wanted somewhere private, beautiful, clean and stylish. Sea Shanties delivered on all levels. In fact I would describe it as magical. We saw Koalas and Dolphins from our room which was amazing. The out door cooking area was brilliant and being able to be so close to the sea with no one around was just perfect. We had cabin... More
