We had the privilege of staying in the executive suite. I think it was just about worth the extra price. The restaurants price for 3 courses seemed very high, as my friend just wanted a main, we had to go to the pub for grub, which was very nice.

Dear Reviewer Thank you for reviewing your stay at the Ferrycarrig. I am happy to hear that the Executive Suite was worth the extra price. To address your comment on restaurant prices, may I just highlight that we have an Early Bird 3 course menu nightly for €25. We are most intent on catering to any requests should they be... More

I thought it was a pleasant stay here, hotel is nice and the location is beautiful. gorgeous views, made even better when the sun shines. Definitely request a room with balcony. Makes a difference to sit out in it. Rooms spacious and clean, bath/shower very outdated though.

This one is just ok. Long hallways, out dated, no air conditioning and hot. Beautiful view of lake and the balcony area was very nice. Grounds nice. With no air conditioning even in the evening the bar was very warm. Ask for a room with lake view.

Stayed here for only one night and had picked it for it beautiful location. We had booked a river view room and were very disappointed when we got a room with a "side river view".…on the ground floor. ……yes you could see a bit of the river but not what we imagined. As the hotel was fully booked there was... More

Just home from two nights in the deluexe double room. Very spacious and clean. Couldn't fault it. The staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly. Food was gorgeous. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely book again in the future.

My wife and I recently spent a night in the Ferrycarrig Hotel which is just a few kilometres outside Wexford town. After a very pleasant stroll around Wexford town, always worth a visit, we arrived at the hotel around 5.00pm. Check in was very friendly and welcoming but the overall effect was spoiled when we couldn't access the room because... More

Retirement, how wonderful, when one can organise a few days away. This time my wife and I booked the Ferrycarrig hotel located on the river Slaney just north of Wexford. At the reception was Orla and who was very friendly and attentive to our details. We were given a room which overlooked the river, superb. Our first night we ate... More

Stayed for a wedding overnight. Upon arrival we were greeted by possibly the friendliest receptionist we have been greeted by anywhere - a young lady called Kathy. Nowadays you meet so many receptionists focussed on answering the phone and not acknowledging people in front of them (this happened to us on checkout unfortunately - not the same person) it was... Set on the tidal. river Slaney, the views are superb, relaxing watching the tide fill and ebb twice a day.We found the rooms modest but with all the accessorises, including the views.the restaurant is a bit dated, but the food was good as was the service.Because our room was quite away from the social areas the receptionist moved us to...
