Called for lunch today with a friend. Waited for one hour ordered lunch twice and left without food. Also got a drink in a dirty glass. Very Disappointing from a hotel I would have previously highly recommended

I booked this hotel last minute on a trip to Wexford. The location is great with fantastic views on the water. The reception area is very modern and well maintained. Breakfast is good abd staff very friendly. The room however is terrible and badly maintained. The entire look is 80's and the smell as well. All this is highlighted with... More

Dear Reviewer Thank you for reviewing your stay at the Ferrycarrig. I was most pleased to learn of the positives in regards to service and breakfast food but at the same time I was disappointed when reading on. We are very much committed to upgrading the Ferrycarrig and our refurbishment programme is at different stages of completion with a certain... More

Staff went the extra mile. Special thanks to the wonderful receiption staff who were great with the kids, allowing us access some toys when the playroom was shut; big thanks to the staff who fixed the heating in the room (responded to our phone call within two minutes); to the bar staff who were extremely attentive. Special thanks also to... More

We had passed the Ferrycarrig many times and thought we should try it to see what it was like. I am pleased that we did. The hotel is very clean, the staff are first class and the food is excellent. Both the bedroom and the bathroom are big and well appointed. All rooms have great views over the sea inlet... More

Last weekend was my 6th visit to the ferrycarrig hotel in the last 5 years. My last 5 visits have been perfection, stunning views, beautiful rooms, fantastic food. It is 12 months since my last visit and I will never visit again. The standards have seriously dropped. We arrived to our room to find it to be an old, dusty,... More

This is a nice hotel in a stunning location. We stayed here for a pre-ferry overnight and wished that we had slept in the car instead. Upon arrival we had to fight our way in past hoards of guests attending a wedding. This didn't at first appear to be an issue but things deteriorated over time. We waiting for the... More

We stayed for a weekend recently, and while this review has to be mixed, the bad bits werent very bad, and the good bits were very good. It didnt start well; I checked in and did the usual room inspection. I then used the bathroom, to discover (to my horror) that the toilet wouldnt flush. Quick check revealed there was... More

The hotel was stunning, very well kept and the staff were very polite and helpful, in particular the receptionist Nicola. She was very welcoming and attentive and a credit to the hotel. The room was a great size and had a lovely view of the bay, and the rooms were even being upgraded as we were leaving. Over all the... More

We have just returned from a lovely 3 night mini-break at the Ferrycarrig Hotel. As we have dined there on a previous occasion while in the area, we knew we would not be disappointed. However, our stay surpassed all our expectations! We were warmly greeted at reception & given a lovely comfortable room overlooking the Slaney river, which flows into... More

This hotel looked amazing and on previous visits it was. This November just gone I had family visiting for a graduation and had our meal booked and 3 double rooms. On entering one of the rooms, it had a horrible smell, a smell like a dirty nappy. Not only this but the locks on the window were broken and the... More
