I went here for one night hoping to see the northern lights and to experience the waters of the hot springs. Both were the best experience. The water is really warm and in some areas hot, it is lovely just to wade around in there and just look at the stars. The restaurant was very good too and the prices reasonable.... More

I enjoyed their hot spring a lot, make sure you visit their rock lake. The hot spring is free for the lodge guest, or the day pass is $15. Their aurora viewing trip is $75 (regardless of staying at there or not). You will go up to ~3000 feet and far away from other light sources. We stayed at their... More

The Staff was very nice, friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Moose Lodge, it was everything I expected and more. My husband had reservations about going in the winter time, but this was the perfect time. The hot springs were wonderful. It was so beautiful with the white snow. We went snowmobiling, dog sledding and just walked around the... More

This place is 56 miles from Fairbanks. In Alaska 3 miles from town you are in other third world country. The rooms and facility are old, but clean and accomodating.this place generate its own electricity, used the thermal heat to heat the complex and also grow their vegetables for the restaurant consumption....therefore salads are fresh. Food in the restaurant is... More

Location- Fantastic location. More of a youth camp than a “resort” not a romantic or comfortable place. Many activities snow mobile, airplane rides, cross country sky, snowshoes, a very short Dog Sled ride, snow coach tours (very slow going), aurora viewing (got a great viewing). All the equipment is old and rickety. There is nothing else around so you are... More

I did not stayed at the resort for the nights, so this is the review only for what I experienced. Restaurant: 3 star. This restaurant is located in a lovely house with interesting decorations on the walls and ceiling: bear skins, moose horn etc. The food is average, but you should expect too much in Fairbanks. All restaurants we tried... More

First of all, be aware that this is not a luxury resort. It is a funky, slightly run down and tacky place with beautiful views and plenty of things to do. It may be a bit overpriced, but considering the location, I'm sure it costs a lot to operate. We stayed two nights in a Signature Room (4 people and... More

My husband and I traveled from Arizona and stayed 4 nights, this was our first time visiting Alaska. We took the snow coach to Charlie Dome and were blessed with an awesome light show the first night. We really didn't see much Aurora activity again unil the last night even though the forecast was a 4...come to find out the... More

My 91 year old, healthy and still pretty mobile mom wanted to see the Northern Lights. Research took us to Chena the week of Feb 16. We were met at the airport by a very courteous and helpful shuttle driver, and that set the tone for the entire trip. It's not a fancy resort, but we weren't expecting that. The... More

After reading mixed reviews, we decided to go to Chena Hot Springs Resort for two nights anyway. We were not disappointed. If you keep in perspective, it was a nice experience. It is a remote part of the state. It was a nice drive going there. Our check in was smooth, nice staff. We had no heat problems at all... More
