These hot springs are amazing. Most relaxing, wonderful part of our Alaska trip. We have family that are locals, so we did not stay over, but went once as a family and once without kids. Great experience both ways. Rock lake is amazing, relaxing, and 18+. Indoor pools and hot tubs were clean and kid-friendly. Locker rooms and changing areas... More

We stayed there mainly for the hot springs, which were interesting, but lacked of hygiene, especially changing room and swimming pool were very dirty (and crowded). Room was old, bathroom not very clean either... This was our most expensive night in Alaska, price-quality wasn't good.

We rented a room at the lodge, which in fact was a small room with outdated decor and room furnishings. We couldn't plug in anything to charge for some reason. The bathroom smelled really bad and the sink and mirror were outside the bathroom. They didn't provide enough towels for the four of us. There is no WiFi here and... More

This is a pretty good place overall...they have nice hot springs and they grow their own food in greenhouses. It's completely self-sustainable and there are even tours of the power plant and ice museum. One can take air plane rides, ride horses, there's a few reindeer to see and they have the most beautiful hanging flower baskets. However, the rooms... More

We started out at the restaurant. We were starving as we had just hiked Angel Rock. Our food was good and our server was friendly and helpful. Then we began to hear a very loud diner a few tables away. He was sitting with a table full of people. He sounded quite arrogant... and did I mention loud? He was... More

Visited just for the day and enjoyed the hot springs and swimming pool. There are other activities provided, ice sculptures, quad bikes, hiking trails. We only had time to have a quick walk part way along one trail before it was time to snatch a quick bite at the restaurant. The service there was excellent and the tasty snack came... More

Actually we might give Chena Hot Springs about 3.5 stars. It has some really good things and some things they could do a whole lot better. It was not up to the standard you expect when you pay almost $300 per night. First the good. The resort is literally at the end of the road, about 60 miles east of... More

We decided to go up to Chena Hot springs for the afternoon. We planned to go tot eh poil and hot springs after enjoying an amazing drive along Chena Hot Springs Road which is about 60 miles long. The scenery is spectacular and on our way we saw eagles and small wildlife, the highlight of the road trip was seeing... More

The grounds at Chena Hot Springs Resort are lovely. The landscaping and animals and ponds provide a great place to leisurely walk and enjoy an Alaskan summer day. However, our room was much less than satisfactory. The carpet was dirty and someone's earbuds had been left on the floor in an obvious place. Made me wonder if they even vacuumed!... More

We went specifically for the hot springs and drove a long way to get there. The hot springs were nice. There were very hot spots, hot, warm, and cool spots. The different temperatures made it easy to stay in the springs for longer periods of time. We did not have time for any other activities. The walk by the pool... More
