Our road trip around the circle from Anchorage to Fairbanks and back, took us to a brief side trip where we stopped (unplanned) at Chena Hot Springs (Outside Fairbanks) . The place was well worth the time and effort if only to see the scenery along the 40 mile drive. Once arriving, we were almost overwhelmed with all there is... More

They scheduled my reservations for the wrong day, the indoor pool had a layer of dead skin and hair floating on the surface, and the room they stuck me in had a broken bed. When I mentioned this to them, they did not care in the least. I had to drive 7 hours back to anchorage with my back in... More

While this place is a nice place to spend a day or two there is a lot of issues with the quality of the property. As you walk about the place you will find a hodge-podge of things that are just stored around the place. These are things like containers of beverage syrups sitting around in place view. A resort... This review is solely based on a day trip that my family and I took there. We did not actually stay in the rooms or eat at the restaurant so I cannot comment on either of those. We drove an hour to check out the hot springs and all the activities that the resort itself offers, hoping to partake in... More

I travelled here in late July and did not stay overnight but enjoyed a few hours at the resort in the hot springs and the Trail's End Bar. The resort was very nice, natural and relaxing. The natural pool hot springs was large with a sandy bottom and the water temperature ranged from hot to really hot. There were four... More

We enjoyed a steak dinner at the Chena Hot Springs Resort. The steak served was tender and very delicious. We never experienced so fresh and juicy salad, which was taken at a green house next to the restaurant. This green house is serving fresh vegetables even at a low temperature of minus 20 degree centigrade.

On a hunch, visited the Hot Springs during a Fishing/Motorcycle Excursion to Alaska. My son and I were treated to a mind expanding adventure. The typical things like the room was great, but it was the setting and what was happening there that made the difference. The use of Geo-Thermal and hydroponics growing techniques resulted in the healthiest plant life,... More

These hot springs are amazing. Most relaxing, wonderful part of our Alaska trip. We have family that are locals, so we did not stay over, but went once as a family and once without kids. Great experience both ways. Rock lake is amazing, relaxing, and 18+. Indoor pools and hot tubs were clean and kid-friendly. Locker rooms and changing areas... More

We stayed there mainly for the hot springs, which were interesting, but lacked of hygiene, especially changing room and swimming pool were very dirty (and crowded). Room was old, bathroom not very clean either... This was our most expensive night in Alaska, price-quality wasn't good.

We rented a room at the lodge, which in fact was a small room with outdated decor and room furnishings. We couldn't plug in anything to charge for some reason. The bathroom smelled really bad and the sink and mirror were outside the bathroom. They didn't provide enough towels for the four of us. There is no WiFi here and... More
