We were wonderfully surprised by this hotel! It was a mansion, palace three centuries ago. I think it only has 14-19 room. We were supposed to have the most basic room, no,view, but upon arrival we knew it was worth it to,spend just a bit more to have a room with an incredible view of the gorge. It's breath taking!... Location: Overlooking the gorge, close to Puente Neuvo Hotel: multi-storeyed with elevator & pool; open terraces, paid parking, good breakfast spread Room: our room overlooked the gorge & the bridge, spacious, good bathroom Positives: location, view, service and parking Negatives: Breakfast was pricier than what we saw/paid at other hotels/restaurants Ranking at time of writing: 8 out of 34 hotels... We wanted a hotel in the centre of Ronda with good views and this met the criteria exactly. The hotel is right next to the famous bridge with probably the best view of it of any hotel including the expensive Parador opposite. Our room had only a view over the narrow street behind the hotel but the view from the... More

The Montelirio and it's Restaurante Albacara is a "must do" in Ronda. The Hotel is quite beautiful, the restaurant and bar subtly elegant with a small restaurant terrace some 700 feet, directly above the Gorge with splendid views back to the Roman Bridge and the Parador. The rooms are tastefully decorated. The Andalucian cuisine is excellent, the wine list, extensive... More

Based on reviews here, I booked a junior suite for 2 nights. It seemed like a perfect splurge. Our spacious suite was huge with a jaw-dropping view! The balcony overlooked the bridge and town. Absolutely breathtaking! The staff was friendly and helpful. Well worth the extra cost. If you have any fear of heights, perhaps reconsider the room with a... More

Nice small 4 star hotel with pleasant staff. Very much a traditional European hotel with a European breakfast and feel. We had a junior suite which was great for the 3 of us. We paid extra for the room with a view which is the whole point of visiting Ronda. Only minor quibbles were wooden toilet seat and blankets rather... More

The hotel is almost irrelevant in the context of such natural beauty. However, it is perfectly situated, with prime views. The room was small, but beautifully decorated and the bathroom was luxurious. Highly recommend.

Extremely nice hotel in the Old City. Staff is very helpful and rooms are lovely. You should definitely ask for a room overlooking the gorge and the bridge. It is the best hotel room view you will ever have. You are sitting right on the edge of a cliff looking at the juxtaposition of natural and man-made/medieval beauty.

very comfortable room with amazing view. We specifically selected a room with a view when making reservations, the moderate extra expense was very well worth it. We were assigned to room 1 (Malaga room) amazing cliff side perch! Front desk staff was also very helpful & pleasant. Would return here again, for sure.

Although difficult to find if you are arriving by car, this is a beautiful location and an interesting building, right on the gorge. Choose a room with a view of the gorge and the bridge - and eat in the restaurant which is magical as the sun sets. Hotel staff were helpful and friendly - especially so when we left... More
