We came directly from the noisy ”Feria de abril” in Sevilla to this wonderful place. The direction written on their homepage made it really easy to find. And this place people, is a diamond in heaven. It’s basically surrounded by vineyards and other farms. And there – in the valley is the hotel. The only thing you’ll hear here is... More

Old farmhouse in a remote location (in a valley, along a private road). Good access to Ronda, Grazamela and other locations in the area. Good area for hiking and biking. Rooms very comfortable (central heating for the Winter), and breakfast good for Spanish measures. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Have just spent twelve days at the hotel and enjoyed every minute.Lovely staff - always helpful despite our inability to speak a word of Spanish. Good basic home cooking - very reasonably priced and huge portions, Well situated pool which we had to ourselves on many occasion, Cool, clean, spacious rooms - far better air con than many more expensive... The hotel is situated 20 km outside Ronda and is not easy to find, Before entering the courtyard by car, you have to open an electric fence, that keeps the sheep, wild boars and other wild animals outside the territory. So when driving the car outside, be careful not to hit the wild animals on the road there. The hotel... More

Simple spacious rooms (loads of space for bags) with high ceilings and wood beams, a 'hallway' has a 3rd bed. We liked the way it was in keeping with the rural setting Clean quality bed linen. Back door onto a little 'courtyard' - not private, but it was when we were there as the 4 other rooms weren't full -... More

My husband and I recently visited our son who lives in Spain. We met our son in Madrid, rented a car and our game plan was to just drive south and enjoy our ten days together and the wonderful country of Spain. We decided to spend a few days in Ronda, a beautiful town built on the top a a... More

If you're looking for 5 star luxury El Horcajo is not the place for you. But if you want to experience real rural simplicity then this is it - with the added bonus of air conditioned rooms and satellite tv. Casitas are simple but comfortably furnished yet decor is very pleasing, in keeping with it's surroundings. This farm has been... More

El Horcajo is a ranch located about 15 minutes from Ronda on curvy roads. The long gravel driveway to ranch was down steep hairpin turns that was pretty scary at night. The basic dated rooms were off of the courtyard. The man at the front desk did not speak any English and our Spanish is limited, so he just showed... More

Have just spent a couple of nights in Hotel El Horcajo, which is situated about 20 mins from Ronda. We were a party of 3 adults and 4 children (aged between 6 and 11) and were using this as a base to explore Ronda and the surrounding countryside. The hotel is/was a farmhouse and guests stay in simple, basic rooms... More

This was our second stay here and we loved it! The accommodation is basic but clean and spacious. The food isn't sophisticated but it's good home cooking at a very reasonable price. We especially liked the oven cooked dishes. I'm going to try to make the courgette bake at home! The pool is well sighted for the evening sun and... More
