The location of this hotel is fantastic as it is only a 2 minute walk from the bridge which fairly much the Tourist Centre of the town. The bedrooms in the hotel are beautiful and unique, rather than square boxes. All of the bedrooms I saw were different from each other and there didn’t appear to be a bad room.... More

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel San Gabriel for a week while we explored the area around Ronda on day tours. It is a delightful small, family-run hotel with a nice lounge and outdoor central courtyard. They took care that our room could be accessed without climbing stairs (a problem for me) and gave us an upgrade to... More

We decided to stay here for a night after seeing the reviews on Trip Advisor and we were not disappointed. The hotel is extremely good value for money, we booked one of the cheaper rooms at only 55 Euros (plus tax) per night but were upgraded on check in. The hotel has a lovely Spanish feel about it and deffinitely... More

Absolute wonderful boutique hotel. We were very lucky to be able to book the "honeymoon suite" - the hotel's largest and it is huge. Extremely comfortable, eclectic, art filled - surprises in every corner. Worth every extra cent and a bargain at that. My one minor complaint - the huge jacuzzi tub is so deep, it's hard to get in... Ronda is a beautiful town, definitely not to be missed. Hotel San Gabriel is absolutely charming and centrally located on a quiet street in the Old town. Our rooms were large, nicely decorated and very clean. We loved the family room and lovely outdoor courtyard. They provide a great walking map/tour of the city and fantastic restaurant recommendations. We highly... More

We stayed on the hotel San Gabriel for 2 nights during our tour of Southern Spain. It's a perfect hotel in a perfect location. Very quaint very clean and the staff are very helpful. If your looking for an authentic hotel in a quiet location that's perfectly located and reasonably priced then you couldn't do better than the San Gabriel.

We loved this place old and full of delightful spaces sad we forgot about the cinema! The staff were very helpful and their suggestions for dinner were spot on.we loved exploring Ronda and other small towns nearby. The breakfast was very good. Our room was small but understandably an old building so there are constraints. The parking was easy as... More

We stayed overnight in Ronda in this lovely old family home that has been transformed into a boutique hotel. Rooms were comfortable and different. The lounge is a lovely area for reading and meeting other guests. The guided walk and restaurant recommendations were fantastic. We loved our dinner at Casa Maria. Unfortunately the wine cellar and screening room closes way... More

This hotel is in the heart of the Old Town. It is simply lovely. The decor is stunning and the room was very large. The entire place was beyond charming. The hotel gave us an excellent self-guided walking tour and made wonderful suggestions as to where to eat. It also has a movie room for guest use. Loved everything about... More

My husband booked a junior suite at San Gabriel Hotel as we wanted an overnight stay in Ronda while over in Spain for a few weeks staying down the coast in Marbella ...what an absolute find and I have been telling everyone about this fabulous place, as they will not be disappointed. The room was clean, spacious and well laid... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This carefully restored building dates from the 18th century and lies in the most historic district of Ronda, surrounded by ancient monuments.Retaining much of its original charm, the San Gabriel still displays an attractive stone façade and the coat of arms of one of its former owners. Spend a quiet moment in the library corner or in the typically Andalusian courtyard, full of plants and a trickling fountain. Here you can start the day with the hotel’s delicious breakfast. You can also enjoy a film in the intimate cinema room, which includes red velvet seats taken from the city’s old cinema. Combined with its privileged location, the hotel facilities make this a truly authentic Spanish setting for your holiday in rural Andalusia. ... more   less
