I loved this hotel. The staff were friendly, professional and very helpful. The hotel is so unique in its decor, furnishings and location. It's certainly got character with a poetry corner, 1920's style cinema and impressive array of photos/art work. Some may say this hotel is dated but I would disagree. It's a refreshing change from the generic, clinical settings... More

Great location in Ronda, with very friendly and helpful staff and our room was nice and large. Hotel has been around for some time so some parts could be considered dated, but actually it is very charming. Only issue in stay was noisy pipes at night coming from a nearby room, but that was only because someone had a jacuzzi... More

This is a beautifully maintained hotel full of character and interest in the old town. A quiet location but within very short distances for all attractions in Ronda. The staff were extremely helpful. The five euro breakfast was more than adequate. There is a lovely small courtyard for relaxing away from the heat of the day. Excellent value for money... More

I stayed at the San Gabriel for one night just last month. The hotel is beautiful, the rate was very good, and the location is excellent. In addition, the staff is very friendly and helpful. I should mention that, although the hotel is located in the "old" section of town, it is very easy to find it and to drive... More

Accidentally booked the wrong date for this room so turned up on the day without a room- fortunately there was a few left and got given the stunning junior suite! Knowing we were on our honeymoon we were also given a bottle of bubbly to enjoy :) The hotel has such a lovely quirky feel to it with vintage features... More

The hotel is ideally located in the old town but a short walk across the bridge to restaurants and shops. The large room was very comfortable with good facilities. The public areas and breakfast room were spacious and full of character. The breakfast was reasonable and the staff extremely helpful offering useful suggestions to maximise our time in Ronda. The... The Hotel San Gabriel is a lovely place to stay in the old quarter of Ronda. The girl on reception made us feel very welcome on our arrival, suggesting things we should see, and taking us to our room. The room itself was in fact a very reasonably priced suite with a four poster bed, traditional Spanish furniture and very... More

The location of this hotel is fantastic as it is only a 2 minute walk from the bridge which fairly much the Tourist Centre of the town. The bedrooms in the hotel are beautiful and unique, rather than square boxes. All of the bedrooms I saw were different from each other and there didn’t appear to be a bad room.... More

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel San Gabriel for a week while we explored the area around Ronda on day tours. It is a delightful small, family-run hotel with a nice lounge and outdoor central courtyard. They took care that our room could be accessed without climbing stairs (a problem for me) and gave us an upgrade to... More

We decided to stay here for a night after seeing the reviews on Trip Advisor and we were not disappointed. The hotel is extremely good value for money, we booked one of the cheaper rooms at only 55 Euros (plus tax) per night but were upgraded on check in. The hotel has a lovely Spanish feel about it and deffinitely... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This carefully restored building dates from the 18th century and lies in the most historic district of Ronda, surrounded by ancient monuments.Retaining much of its original charm, the San Gabriel still displays an attractive stone façade and the coat of arms of one of its former owners. Spend a quiet moment in the library corner or in the typically Andalusian courtyard, full of plants and a trickling fountain. Here you can start the day with the hotel’s delicious breakfast. You can also enjoy a film in the intimate cinema room, which includes red velvet seats taken from the city’s old cinema. Combined with its privileged location, the hotel facilities make this a truly authentic Spanish setting for your holiday in rural Andalusia. ... more   less
