Had room 6 on 2nd floor, which was a nice, good-sized room with high ceilings. Clean and nicely furnished. Very quiet with a great location. First intersection from the New Bridge on the Old City side. The address is Tenorio, 1, but don’t turn down Tenorio to find it – enter from Calle Arminan, the main drag. It is within... More

I find this review difficult, as in many respects this is a good hotel and when we had a problem it was sorted out quickly and efficiently. The location is superb, near to the bridge over the gorge and with easy access to the old and new towns. However there were also some issues. On arrival we were greeted in... More

We were treated in the most friendly way from the moment we entered, and all through the week we stayed. Despite some language difficulties with most of the staff, we felt as though we were at home. The owner, Lorenzo, spoke English very well, and gave us the best treatment through and through. The decoration in the hotel is very... More

Location is great, but unlike most reviews, we were EXTREMELY disappointed! 1. Parking is not "near location" as published, but 500 meters away. When I told the manager it is not as published, he sent me to complain at the website I made reservation from. 2. We received a room with both refrigerator and safe not working. I asked the... More

~We booked this hotel after reading trip advisor reviews, and it certainly more than lived up to expectations. The Hotel was seeped in history, and the atmosphere struck you as soon as you entered the reception. The staff were friendly and professional, and were always willing to help with a smile, shuch a lovely base for our holiday, it was... More

El Poeta is a charming little hotel for sure! The room we had was very small, but we didn't mind because the hotel was the home of Pedro Perez Clotet and the authentic feel more than made up for the small bedroom. The bath was very nice...spacious and modern. We had a good enough breakfast one morning on the patio... More

Located on a corner this hotel has décor that I just wanted to keep looking at. Each time I looked I saw something new. There is no parking and my husband will not speak kindly of the public parking station he parked the car in (just a few minutes away). Our room really was huge, so was the bathroom. The... More

We booked this hotel after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor and it was a bargain to boot. I think we paid about £50 per night and for £2 extra for breakfast for 2 people for 2 days. Staff at the hotel were lovely, they could speak English but humoured me as I wanted to speak Spanish to them. They were... More

We stayed 2 nights in a Superior Room which was huge & fit for Royalty. Over the top for us but think I wanted a view. I would book a standard room in future as felt a bit ridiculous. Some people would love it! A bit unfair to criticise I guess. Room was noisy at nights being on busy road... More

El Poeta de Ronda is a small, very comfortable hotel which is situated very close to the famous gorge. The rooms are spacious & very nicely furnished &, like the whole hotel, are very stylish. My wife & I booked a room only but we very wisely decided to have breakfast at the hotel. We had different types but both... More
