We stayed here at the end of out Kerala trip it's a smallish place and looks cool on arrival. It's primarily natural bamboo but it doesn't offer much privacy. The deluxe rooms are small the bed ends about 2 feet from the full length window and the curtains complete with ' mozzie blood splats" don't quite meet. Hubby did a... More

The 3 elephants has a good tranquil atmosphere, and is in a great setting looking over the backwaters, the night light also create a good ambience. The beach is a short 2 minute walk. Staff are friendly attentive and helpful and the cottages are spacious. Minor drawbacks would be the lack of a fridge in the rooms and the food... More

I was at les trois elephants for three nights and found both the people and the location very pleasant and wellcoming. I have very much appreciated the creative simplicity of the decoration. Each room has different settings like in a private property. The staff is like home staff. I mean you do not have the feeling to be a client... More

I had a wonderful stay at Les 3 Elephants despite picking up an illness during my travels north. The staff was quite accommodating and attentive! The food was delicious, the grounds were beautifully maintained, and the atmosphere was relaxing. The cottages were simple, clean, quiet, and very comfortable. The beach is a short walk away and tourist activities are easily... More

We stayed three nights in an AC premium bungalow (Nr 11) right at the backwaters. A great experience overall, but a bit on the pricey side for what you get (it was high season). Do not expect silence - the area is full of birds, and a temple, a small church and a mosque are within earshot. Kerala symphony :-)... More

This is a very unusual property in the Indian context: an intimate size but with staff who are warm and skilled but not intrusive. The more expensive rooms (3-5th tier in price) have calm and beautiful views of the backwaters, and private verandahs make it possible to enjoy these views throughout the day. The food is good, and the Indian... More

Very comfortable hotel. Rooms are chalet-type and very well designed. Close to but not on a long sandy beach which near the hotel was almost deserted. More crowded sea-fronts within half an hour walk. The property backs onto a backwater. We were made to feel welcome despite arriving long before we were expected. The staff were very obliging. By Indian... More

If you're looking for somewhere to relax after flying into India ...or to recover after touring round India, this is the perfect place: attentive hosts, excellent food, attractive well-designed cottages, in a quiet, beautiful setting overlooking the backwaters... Perfect. The only negative: the massage was not up to normal Kerala standards ...but who needs a massage in paradise!

This is really what a guest house should be - beautiful grounds, excellent food, carefully designed rooms, attentive hosts and beautiful surroundings. Our only small complaint was that 2-3 of the bungalows/cottages look out onto the dining/seating area and the curtains are pretty much see-through. The cottages are basically one small room with a bed so there is very little... More

I least expected to come upon this surprising piece of Real Estate. Being in the Hotel & Resort industry, I am used to a certain ambience being achieved in large expanse of Land with a big budget. The owners have created something unique - a piece of charming serenity with a definite character, with excellent hygiene standards and eco-friendly construction... More
