I heard great things about the inn, but our first consideration for accommodation has to be accessibility for a wheelchair. I appreciated the staff trying to help me find a solution, but stairs are just not an option. SO, for those in the same situation as my husband and I were, I hope this is helpful.

Reasonably priced, clean and fairly comfortable. However, not well serviced, only windows were the door to the room, and with people walking past, not possible to leave the curtain open. Thought it was closer to the lake as well. We may return but would book a room on the 2nd level.

This is a very nice lodge. We had a room on the upper floor back. There are as the last person described high beamed ceilings. The rooms are well equipped with a very nice couch. There were two modern TVs in the room. It is very spacious and more of a suite than a room as the bedroom is partially... More

We just spent three nights at the Timberline Lodge and I found it much better than expected as I had some doubts based on the photos. The rear facing rooms in the newer section are very new, large and comfortable with high beamed ceilings. This place could easily be excellent with some minor additions though. Management, add a few pieces... More

My husband and I enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Timberline Urban Lodge at the end of June 2014. Unfortunetly it was a cooler and wetter weekend then hoped but the little sun on Sunday morning made sitting on the deck outside our room very enjoyable. They provided 2 portions of coffee for the Keurig machine but were small... More

Overall the room was pretty good. We found it to be lacking a table or desk. All necessary amenities available with Keurig coffee maker. Double bed only. Small bathroom. (Currently undergoing external renovations - not affecting the stay). We find it slightly overpriced for what you get. However it is in a highly touristy cottage country area. Satisfied overall and... More

We were putting in time while one of our party was enjoying a massage at Nature's Inn, so decided we'd like to try the Southview Bistro and see what it offered. Things got rather complicated, as our TripAdvisor mapping kept taking us to the edge of the Timberline, google saying we were at our destination, but nothing matching what we... More

We stayed at Timberline Urban Lodge (previously Southview Inn and Bistro) in March 2014 when Kenora had multiple waterline breaks due to deep frost levels and the city had a boil water order. Not the best time to visit Kenora but staff made sure we were well taken care of. Even though their restaurant was not open for weekday lunch... More

The Southview is really the best hotel in town. It doesn't have very many rooms and you will want to stay in the new section, but it just doesn't get any better than this. The new rooms are large and very new. It is very quiet at this hotel. Their restaurant (on the same property) is wonderful as well.

There was a group of us who made the trip to Kenora for a family reunion of sorts and the group of us stayed at Southview Inn. While we didn't spend much time at the hotel itself we did find the rooms to be extremely comfortable and functional for what we needed. The beds and pillows were wonderful and the... More
