There were four of us who stayed here for two nights. The owner was very welcoming. The house was beautifully decorated. We got to stay in a room in which a Princess had actually slept. Couldn't wait to tell my granddaughter. The house sits back from the road so we bypassed it a couple of times. Once on the driveway... More

I've been home in upstate New York for a week and I find myself remembering vividly Osler House and the gourmet breakfasts served so elegantly before I went off to my busy days with my son and his family. Gary and Sara made this senior feel very welcome and cared for from the warm greetings and introduction to the amenities... More

My wife and I recently spent a week here. It was our first visit but we were treated as if we were VIP/old family friends from the moment we arrived. The decor is stunning and the quality of each breakfast better than I have eaten elsewhere, including The Savoy Hotel, London UK. Gary, Sarah & Osler House are a winning... More

A fantastic Bed and Breakfast in a lovely small town so close to the City. The home was beautifully restored and full of treasures. Everything about our stay was exquisite. Our host was very friendly and prepared an amazing breakfast. We are happy to recommend this B+B to our family and friends and would love to return one day.

We recently visited this lovely B and B. The three rooms are beautifully decorated. The host was friendly and provided us with a very special breakfast. Consideration of special food requests was much appreciated. There are so many positive comments written about this establishment, it is difficult to think of anything new. I would not hesitate to visit again. We... More

I rented 3 of the 4 exquisite rooms the night before my wedding and had all of my wedding photos done there on my wedding day! Gary and Sarah are amazing and so accommodating! I cannot say enough good things about Osler House. All of my family and friends, and even vendors, that arrived at Osler House, commented on how... More

A wonderful gracious old home, wonderfully and meticulously maintained. Clearly a lot of effort and love went into the conversion of the home to a first class B&B. Truly in a class by itself. Excellent breakfast, served with style and class.

Stayed just one night unfortunately but will definitely return . Everything was just right and our host Gary very friendly and served us a delicious breakfast. The room was cosy and well appointed. A great job in melding old world charm with comfort. We highly recommend a visit

We have travelled all over the world and stayed in many lovely places but the Osler House has a unique charm all of its own. Sumptuously decorated yet warm and welcoming. It is literally fit for Royalty. Gary and Sarah are wonderful hosts and you come away feeling like you have known them for years. The breakfast was absolutely delicious... More

From the moment you drive down the lane way you on to the property you feel a million miles away from reality. The house is beautiful, incredibly decorated and very welcoming. We were there on a night where all three rooms were occupied but only once did we hear anyone so it was as if we had the whole place... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Osler House is an historic and elegant Victorian mansion built in 1848 that has been meticulously restored. Once the home of the famous and illustrious Osler family, it is now operated as an exclusive boutique inn and has hosted many VIP guests including royalty. Situated on a 1 1/2 acre quiet and private oasis on the most prestigious street in Dundas, it is just a 5 minute walk to the many shops and restaurants of quaint downtown Dundas; the ideal blend of country quiet and city convenience. Guests are treated to the elegance and pace of a bygone time, from the giant and rare Magnolia tree by the front door, to the house tastefully furnished with a heritage of antiques. Accommodations include exclusive access to the front parlour, billiard and garden rooms,as the owners live in completely separate quarters. Deer and other wildlife are often seen grazing on the lawn while relaxing on the front porch. Yet the house features modern amenities and communications. The complimentary breakfast also evokes a more elegant time; gourmet meals served by candlelight in the formal dining room on fine china and silverware, with pressed linen napkins. McMaster University and medical centre are 5 minutes away, downtown Hamilton is 10 minutes, and both Toronto and Niagara Falls are an hour away. Trails, parks and dozens of waterfalls are all within minutes as well. ... more   less
