We arrived to very clean and comfy room, the location and veiw from the hotel are great. We stayed the first week in November during the election, which made getting around Rincon and most of PR a nighmare. Also I think we arrived right before the season started so alot of the attractions were not open or available during our... more

The staff at Casa Islena are informative, friendly and most of all courteous! Our hostess, Eileen, could not be more welcoming. Julio is like an island historian. Most important the rooms are meticulously clean and spacious! The restaurant staff are enthusiastic and aim to please......and the food was excellent! Thank you Brendon, Rey and Maria!! Everyone made our stay in... more

I can not say enough good things about Casa Islena! Not only is the restaurant fab so were the accomodations . My room was clean, cozy and could not be any closer to the beach. The staff was very friendly and made sure you were well taken care of. The location was perfect and very conducive to the relaxing vacation... more

My reason for writing this review is to call out the front desk personel Nancy. Casa Islena costs over 200 a night and the customer service at a motel 6 puts it to shame. You are basically staying at a restaraunt. We first arrived at 4am. from are flight and were hoping to grab a nice night of sleep. However... more

I writing in response to the issues you experienced while staying at Casa Islena: A/C Problem: As soon as the report was made concerning the standard non-oceanview room about the a/c. You were upgraded to an oceanview room for the remaining time of your stay. We checked the a/c and the problem was the manual control was not set properly....

I was really looking forward to staying here but was sorely disappointed. Yes the location ( and website) is lovely but for the money i would stay elsewhere. visit the beach and dine here. Perhaps part of the problems is that the guesthouse and the restaurant on site are run by two different groups. The restaurant is good - pricey... more

I would like to respond to the two issues. 1: Restaurant: Our restaurant is a seasonal business, and the week of your stay is one of the two busiest of the year. Due to the design of the inn (which was a home) the restaurant when full can be noisey, however the restaurant closes 9:30pm and the staff is out...

I can't say enough good about Casa Islena. The location was amazing- right on a quiet beach with a view of some surfers and boogie-boarders (bit rough for swimming in January). Very clean, spacious, inviting, well-decorated rooms. As they weren't fully booked, we were upgraded us free to the best room in the place, with a front private balcony overlooking... more

just returned from Casa Islena and had a wonderful stay. It is a small inn right on the beach. I chose this inn because of its location for surfing. The beach directly in front was perfect for my 16 yr old son. About 200 yds to the left is Sandy Beach which is better for swimming. Our room was exactly... more

We visited Casa Islena in October 2008. Upon arrival, we found our room keys in an envelope by the office since no one was onsite to greet us. If you're looking for personal service in the fall this is not your place! There were 4 of us traveling, and we had 2 rooms. Our room was closest to the eating... more

When we arrived at the Casa Islena, we were given a different room than the one that we reserved a number of months earlier. Unfortunately, the room that we were given was right by the restaurant rather than the on the second floor. As a result, it was extremely noisy. When we checked out, I mentioned to the desk that... more
