Beautiful place, excellent food, excellent views. Not in a metropolitan area. Beds are hard, room #9 is clear (the sun will awake you in the morning, bad for late sleepers like me). Too many stairs, difficult for handicap people. Place is very clean. You will need to have a car in order to go to a beach. Employees treats you... More

Nice spot off 413 in Rincon. Stayed two overnights. You can park in the front to check in, but wait until you check in to bring your bags because we found it easier to bring the bags in through the side or back. Small grocery store next the hotel where they will make you sandwiches/breakfast. Pool on site, about 5... More

Thank you for the advice to future guests. If at any time you don't receive hot water please notify the office. We work off of solar energy but we can flip a switch on days of higher occupancy or rainy conditions if someone just lets us know. We look forward to your return visit..... Stayed the weekend with my girlfriend to attend Rincón Triathlon and was a very positive experience. Small hotel, friendly staff ( of course...Rincón!!), super good pizza at La Familia, There is no elevator, you have to walk thru long pretty vegetation passages to get to room and parking is not exactly convenient. Even so, I really enjoyed my stay. Friendliness... More

I am a resident of Puerto Rico but anytime I have some time off my first thought is going to Rincon and staying at The Lazy Parrot. I have stayed here twice already and I will be returning next Friday, June 26th, for the weekend, My birthday is on Saturday and when my husband asked me where do you want... More

The staff here was very friendly, but patrons should be aware of a couple of things - there are LOTS of steep steps to get to the "front desk" and pool (both down and in the back) and to get to the rooms, some up, some down from street level, and there is no distinction made (during the reservation process... Yes, we have stairs...lots of them....we are mountainside and have no elevators. This is posted on the website and is brought up all the time so if you have a problem with stairs this might not be the best place for you. However, if you want a work out without taking an hour out of your day we are the... More

Very nice property in the hills above Rincon. About a 5 minute drive to some nice beaches and town. Something to note about this area is that there are no addresses so you need GPS co-ordinates to find the hotel. We booked through Expedia and Expedia bookings don't include these. If you book directly, or contact the hotel, they will... More

One of the loveliest places I have ever stayed! Awesome food and the best mojito ever! All of the staff were friendly and incredibly helpful. There are definitely a lot of stairs, and you do need to have a car in Rincon. Restaurants on site were awesome and the pool is beautiful! Would definitely stay here again!

When we first arrived and entered the the Lazy Parrot premises, my husband and I "Got It". The natural surroundings and nurturing staff are healing therapy to nerves jarred by cars and cities, and too much "hurry worry". We were lucky guests there for a month and a half, and we saw how much is actually going on behind the... More

Thank you for all your wonderful comments and your take on life at the Lazy Parrot. Most people are only there for a few days and you really got a huge window to see how we operate and obviously to read our prior 1 star review. Thank you for bringing things to attention that most people probably wouldn't think about.... More

I came after hours to check in and they left the key at the office, no fuss, no mess, my room was charming and I wad looking for a quiet retreat to enjoy a part of the island that is quite beautiful. If you want to come to experience a part of Puerto Rico that embodies it's charms and is... More

Thank you so much for your review and all the wonderful compliments. I would like to make 1 correction, although we do have lots of stairs, we are handicap accessible. Value rooms, Francisco's Local Cuisine, the garden and pool area, Mi Familias Pizzeria are all accessed by ramps. Is it the best place if you don't have assistance, no, but... More

Cold showers, zero hot water. 150$ a night, incredibly overpriced. Both restaraunts in the hotel were horrible. Paid 80$ for a meal with walmart salsa poured on top. Front desk staff, could care less about the lack of hot water. Tons of mosquitos in the room, got bitten while sleeping at least 30 times. Unfortunatley this was our honeymoon hotel.... More

I apologize for not responding to this review sooner. Most of our reviews are ranked 4-5 stars so when we get a 1 star I have to question the review. If these accusations were the norm we wouldn't still be in business. Our staff is extremely concerned about our guest experience and we respond immediately to complaints about hot water... More
