This is a true French château with a genuine French aristocratic family to host you (although not a long history with the house). So peaceful in the middle of the countryside. We were visiting the war graves of the Somme and this is very central. These places must be an absolute labour of love. Maintenance was not bad - but... More

It is a delight, go and stay there. We were married the day before and we loved every minute. Don't expect a chain Hotels services but what it looses it makes up for in buckets with the welcome, the atmosphere and the room. It was like being in the 18th century but more comfortable. It is very rural and you... More

We stayed for 4 nights and we loved it, our room was lovely and huge with a side room and ensuite. It's a wondefull building with an an amazing history and you will be given a tour of the place. The locations good for lots of ww1 sites and arras and amies. The whole place feels a bit tumbledownish it's... More

We stayed here for a long weekend and loved the house. The proprieters were very kind and took the time to give us a tour of their estate and made a number of good suggestions for our trip. If you have time I would really recommend asking Patrice or Chantal for a tour around their property. There was so much... More

I will preamble this with saying that our french is pretty poor. The hosts were very patient with our lack of french vocabulary though! The property is incredible, the room was HUGE, the surroundings are beautiful and quaint. We found the owners very charming, and loved the tour we got of the castle in the morning. What an incredible amount... More

We stayed for one night with 3 little kids and the start was not great- we had a long drive, the kids were tired and our little one was car sick just 2 minutes before we arrived. But we were welcomed so warmly and Patrice even helped me to clean the car seat in the middle of the nigh, a... More

We stayed in this beautiful Chateau in July. It is very impressive when you enter the gates and sweep up the long drive. All the rooms (including our bedroom) are what you would expect from a Chateau, very grand. We too had a tour of the Chateau which was facinating, you can tell Chantel and Patrice are so proud of... I can't add much to what has already been said about this chateau but I did promise the proprietors that I would do a review. That was over two years ago so better late than never! if your priorities are satellite TV, wi fi and a brand new bathroom with a massaging shower this place is not for you. But,... More

We stayed here (with our dog) in mid-April for a one night stop-over while driving through France. While tucked away in a quite village about 1.5 hours south of Calais, we popped the longitude and latitude of the chateau in our sat nav and had absolutely no trouble finding it ... As others have said, you are essentially staying in... More

This castle is located in the middle of nowhere and you must not except any modern comfort such as TV or room service. Yet, Château de Grand Rullecourt is worth a stay as the rooms are big and beautiful and the castle is a true historical piece of art. Breakfast is very disappointing so do not expect warn croissants from... More
