I stayed for two nights in the Blue Cottage - lovely interior with deck over-looking the gardens. So peaceful....you can completely switch off which is the reason for staying. Main building (kitchen; shower; toilet and eating area)has everything you need - clean and friendly. Nice easy walk into Oneroa. I live in Hervey Bay, Australia but have family in Auckland... More

I stayed here with my boyfriend over ANZAC weekend and probably wouldn't go back. We stayed in Tent 2. Pros Location - walking distance from onerua with great Cafes and somewhere to buy food if you want to cook in Gardens - fruit trees, nature, lovely location En Suite - great addition and definitely made it feel like 'glamping' Cons... Oh Sophie what a shame you had a below average weekend. On the bright side though you at least enjoyed the property. Sorry if my sense of humour did not translate well upon your arrival. I found you both pleasant to deal with. The tent you both stayed in is our older type which we are decommissioning this season to... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here back in Feb, we stayed in the yellow lodge. It was perfect for a quiet weekend on Waiheke Island. The facilities were clean and the lodge itself was the perfect size and had its own little porch hidden away so we could sit and relax. Great location, very welcoming, and good price!

We really loved this place and we will definitely stay again. Easy to find, close to everything yet far enough for it to feel like a little hide-out. When you enter the grounds you are greeted by white doves and an olive tree! That pretty much sums it up...how peaceful. We stayed in Belle Tent 1, right next to a... More

Waiheke Island is a place that needs more than just a quick day trip and being able to stay at Fossil Lodge in one of their tents is a wonderful experience. But the word tent does not fully discribe how fab these "tents" are, they are more like Yurts, raised off the ground on a wooden platform. It's "Glamping" at... More

We stayed for 2 nights in one of the glamping tents along with 2 friends who stayed in another tent. It was spotlessly clean, had its own ensuite bathroom and was in a great location. Gorgeous touches such as a vase of flowers, cute decor and linen, lamps, cell phone charger etc. Very thoughtfully put together. We loved it and would... More

I stayed in the green cabin for three nights. I really, really loved this place. Pros: Quiet, you hardly see anyone else Great tramps/walks accessible nearby Beautiful surroundings, birds everywhere (loved the Tui & white pigeons!) Ten minute (uphill) walk from Oneroa village Great cabins, comfy beds Great amenities, only one shower and toilet but this was never problematic for... More

Thanks Steph for the great review. Hope to have you back again. I would like to clarify the shower situation. There is one shower and toilet for the 3 cabins. The 4 tents and the apartment all have their own showers and toilets, so 6 in total. Cheers More
