When you arrive you are greeted by the friendly staff who make you feel at home straight away. At this point they give you a cold drink and a cold towel which is a great touch. The accommodation is incredible with beautiful views and amenities. Each room is separate and is sustainably built amongst the trees and the monkeys. We... More

Who wants to go to Zanzibar where this is on land? A few minutes from Dar Es Salaam, this exclusive lodge is one of the best choices of beach in Tanzania. Integrated in the middle of nature, the monkeys come to visit you at all times on the railing of your deck. So take your tea in the morning lying... More

If Paradise is a beautiful deserted beach on the Indian Ocean with deliciously creative food, a staff that is unequaled and beautifully simple accommodations, you will find it here. The managers, Leo and Frankie, with their staff, are great at what they do while immediately making us feel welcome and relaxed. Take off your shoes and don't put them on... More

Ras Kutani is in a unique location, with the Indian Ocean lapping the front & a fresh water lagoon , resulting from the blocking of a river outlet to the sea, on one side. The immensely long sweep of clean white beach is spectacular & almost totally deserted. Two reefs break up the waves & keep the seaweed to a... More

We had an amazing time at Ras Kutani. The cottages are perfect, to wake up and fall asleep to the sound of waves is the best. It's barefoot luxury, but done perfectly. The rooms are clean, you have everything you need. The best part is the service though. Nothing was too much to ask for. I'm gluten and dairy-free (yes,... More

After more than 5 years we decide to go back to Ras Kutani. Last time we stayed 5 nights, but this time we needed a longer break to get away from it all and stayed 8 nights in lagoon cottage no.8! We have not regretted this! Wow, it's is still an amazing beautiful and quiet place managed by lovely Frankie... More

My wife and I just came from a two-day stay at Ras Kutani. It was our first time there and my wife was celebrating her 48th birthday. The staff are dedicated and very friendly. Ras Kutani is a magical place, the perfect place to unwind after safari adventures or a peaceful retreat for locals needing a break from the hubub of dar. The beach is pristine and without hawkers, a common blight on the beaches of nearby Zanzibar. The property itself is beautiful and the accomodations truly lovely--we adored our two hammocks, porch overlooking... More
