Having stayed at many cabins at different locations in the western united states, we have seen the gambit of wonderful to horrible. Lake of the Woods is a very nice resort. The cabins are a wonderful blend of log cabin in the woods and amenities. The cabins were very clean and contained all the advertised and necessary items, i.e. kitchens... More

We stayed the last weekend in March, in cabin #4 and it was the best experience I've had in Lakeside, AZ. The cabin was so clean, rustic, and gorgeous. Every convenience you needed was right there. The owners were so friendly and made you feel really welcomed! Relaxing and stress-free! Would stay as long as possible, if we could...

My husband and I just went to celebrate are 10th wedding anniversary. We are in love and going to bring are kids next time and make it annual trip. Lets start with the bad. The cabins are a little rustic and the beds are not 5 star quality. That being said, staying here was the best vacation our family had in years. Our cabin over looked the lake with it's own dock and boat. Every utensil was in the kitchen. My wife was so impressed and kept exclaiming "They... More

We checked out this resort on Trip Advisor before booking and noted the comments about the beds, but decided it looked too relaxing to pass up. Our mistake! The beds are brutal! We ended up sleeping on the pull-out just to get a few hours. It's also a little closer to the road than we anticipated. But, other than that,... More

My husband always wanted to stay here and so on his 51st birthday I made that happen. Invited his sister and husband so it was a family gathering. The cabin we stayed in (#7) was so perfect, rustic, clean and quiet. We were not sure what kind of weekend we were going to have, the weather called for rain all... More

We stayed at a cabin that had another cabin attached. The walls are so poorly made that when those people spoke in normal voices, it sounded like they were sitting at the end of my bed. Yes, I know that some noise can be expected but it seems like the wall between was the thinnest possible. A man couldn't get... More

This August we had a family re-union in the White Mountains. My daughter and I searched on the internet to find a large, rustic, cabin to balance our desire to go camping, but have comfort for the wide needs of our families. We stayed at "The Chalet" cabin in the Lake of the Woods resort in Pinetop. This was perfect... More

Being a travel agent, I really look at everything about a resort. I am also understand better what to expect from a place that I stay at because I've researched it thoroughly. That being said, I knew this place was not a luxury type resort. I also knew that the cabins would be pretty basic in function and furnishings. We... More
