My husband and I just returned from a trip to Morocco. We spent one night at this hotel after spending a night at a tent encampment in the desert. We loved the hotel, from the large camel sculptures at the entrance, to the wonderful views of the dunes, camels and tents just beyond the hotel, to the profusion of color... More

The room was not ready when it should have been. Reception then informed me that it was then ready. After carrying all the luggage back to the room, we had no towels, cleaners were still in... the a/c does not work and the room was rather dark. The pool and sunbathing area was completely filthy, lots of bird droppings.. one... More

In the name of Allah, the most gracious and merciful. After a long ride in the 4x4 wheel drive, we arrive at Tombouctou Hotel. Two large camel sculpture welcome us. Zaid Ben Moh pull the 4x4 wheel drive and help us carry the bags out. At the hotel lobby, we wait for our room key. The lobby was beautifully decorated... More

This is a traditional hotel in the middle of the desert. Rooms are clean & cute with air conditioning. Food was good & buffet spread for both breakfast & dinner was good. Sunrise view from the hotel was fantastic. There were some issues though: 1. No wifi in rooms 2. There were no bathroom doors 3. Water in bathroom &... More

Very pleasant hotel situated on the edge of the desert dunes. a Considerable number of camels available outside the hotel grounds for desert rides if wanted. Buffet style evening meals of a good standard in both quality and variety of dishes.

We found the rooms to be spacious with tasteful traditional decor. The hotel was located at the foot of the Sahara Desert dunes so you could walk out of the hotel onto the dunes which was really incredible. The hotel arranged a camel trek to watch the sunset on the sand dunes which again was an amazing experience. The buffet... More

A great looking hotel The swimming pool was excellent although cold in March. Characteristic large rooms, separate toilet & shower rooms. The food was very good, even better than that of the sister hotel Xaluca Dades. Excellent location for the desert.

I stayed at this hotel because my 3 day desert tour booked it. Everything was standard except the room decoration, it was very africa, not morrocan style. The service was standars, the staffs cant speak English fluently, not many smiles. Food was standard, cleanliness was standard too. I stayed at the first floor. For me the second floor was little... Part of the Spanish owned Xalucca chain with characteristically large rooms the hotel is right on the edge of the dunes. Food is fine and there was hot water in the room – wifi only in reception. The hotel is built in the style of a village really with an extensive terrace on the roof from which both sunset and... More
