I wasn't expecting too much of a hotel in the desert, but I was lucky to have stayed here because I was traveling with a Moroccan friend who arranged the hotel. I was very pleasantly surprised since the hotel was clean with a nice decor, had a pretty good buffet breakfast and dinner (included in price), a spa (the hammam... More

The hotel has a beautiful architecture, which blends modernity with local style and decor. The rooms are spacious and so are bathrooms. There is a pool and sauna. Camel are available a 100 meters away for those wishing to ride into the nearby huge sand dunes. Views of sand dunes to the east, large open areas to the west and... More

The hotel is situated in a little desert township, at the foot of Erg Chebbi. Camels are parked at a few metres from the hotel and it's possible to rise before dawn to see the sunrise from the huge dune. The staff are friendly, the rooms spacious and well appointed, and the buffet meals are amongst the best we had... More

Very much enjoyed our stay ! Comfortable hotel with good food, friendly staff, good beds (in our spacious room) and a good shower with lots of hot water. The highlight was the sunset camel ride over the dunes of the neighbouring Erg Chebbi desert. What an amazing and unforgettable experience !

This kasbah hotel is huge and kind of cinematographic. Its entrance resembles a kasbah but it is quite original. There is a good hammam, great sky view and excellent food at the restaurant. From the hotel it is possible to see the dromedars that make the desert trip possible. The staff is very kind and the room was comfortable and... More

We stayed at the hotel on 27th December (the friends we were travelling with stayed on the 26th & 27th) It was a very comfortable stay, the rooms were clean and the service was OK. We all really enjoyed the buffet as we had been mostly camping previously to this and there was a huge selection, including many vegetarian options,... More

I had a lovely stay in Auberge Tombouctou. I found the rooms clean and comfortable, the wifi easily accessible, and breakfast and dinner buffets were fine. The food wasn't the kind of home-cooked deliciousness you find in small roads elsewhere in Morocco, but that's to be expected from a larger hotel. My personal highlight was being able to wander to... We stayed at the tent camp associated with the hotel and only used the hotel’s pool showers the next day (which were nice). The tent camp was great. We rode camels several miles out to the tent camp (there is an option for a jeep). The tents were very comfortable. The large beds came with plenty of warm blankets for... More

We arrived late and were taken straight to the dining room. Food was as expected in similar hotels in Morocco - edible but nothing outstanding. Our room, we were told, was a twin. Reception suggested we push the beds together. A great idea, if the bases of the bed weren't actually cement and tile structures - part of the actually... More

At first we were frustrated for not being able to sleep under the stars due to a sandstorm, but it was a blessing in disguise as we had a comfortable night stay at the hotel. The room was decorated in deep blue and had a nice thick mattress. Hotel was nice to arrange for a sunrise trek to the sand... More
